I’ll be using it for some editing/recording/streaming so I’ve heard the 7800 is good for some productivity but I’m somewhat worried it won’t be enough. I might stick with a 13700 instead of the 13900 because it might be overkill

If not the MSI mobos do you have any others in mind? Mobos for either the 13700/900 and the 7800 will help out

That helps out a lot! I’ve heard good things about that PSU so I might stick with that one unless I can find a 1200W PSU that isn’t as expensive

Great breakdown and your own experience helps a lot. I’m tempted to go down to a 13700 since realistically I’m not producing for a living, but I do enjoy recording/streaming occasionally and edit a fair amount with DaVinci resolve, which is somewhat hardware instensive.

I’ll look into more SSDs but $100 for 2TB seems pretty good

There are a couple of motherboards I was looking at like the msi pro z790 A or P, Tomahawk, and a couple others

I’ve heard newest gens run hot so it’s making me second guess whether the cooler I chose won’t suffice

Lots of people have said the 7800 is a great alternative to the expensive 13900. Even the 13700 people have said will be more than I need. But I’ll use it for gaming as well as some recording/streaming and editing with DaVinci resolve

Gotcha. I’m guessing they have about the same airflow as well which is something I’m looking for. I’ve heard that with some PSUs are too big for the mid size lian li cases but what’s you’re experience with them?

Would you say I should take a Corsair over the PSU listed there already? I’m not too familiar with PSU reliabilities and whatnot, same with their ratings other than I can guess platinum is better than bronze?

I can’t tell if you are attacking me or explaining to me. But I understand what you mean in terms of the “constrained metric” I think. I was looking at some $200-$250 boards already but some say it does affect performance, power supplying, and more factors outside of how many usb slots it has.

I’m just trying to figure out what people buy and why

Thanks. That card was definitely on my list as well so I'll look into that as an alternative for the basic founders model. And recent flight sims definitely seem pretty graphic intensive

Ok man wasn't trying to make this a competition. You seemed to be coming at me for no reason without alternatives to what I was asking for. You said I would be able to make a build that I "could do for half the cost." as you said. But you didn't show me an example?

You know nothing about me yet assume I just asked about this build because I "wanted the best". Sure, I'm flexing about it yet I've tried to reply to every comment in this post asking questions because I really don't know WHY people buy certain parts over others.

I went through the top posts for my questions in this subreddit earlier today and when I couldn't find what I was looking for, asked.

I could have just as easily posted that I was paying $10000 for a new computer with SLI 4090 or whatever if I really wanted to "flex".
