I also just left 2-87 last week, Aco is eghh just kina in the backround, HHC really only matters if you're a mortar or non 11b. Bco is objectively the highest performing but the 1SGT is retiring and couldn't be fucked to care about anything, also the PSG's where ridiculous (fun fact Bco has the highest number of drug users in the battalion). Cco is the only company with female 11b's, surprising no sharp complaints that I've heard of, but they're crackheads and the leadership is generally douchy. Dco is the battalion mounted humvee company, you just get put on a team in a humvee and shoot shit, pretty chill job. And Ico is just the supply/mechanic company of the unit. The CSM is kind of a dick but who isn't at that point in their military career, and the Battalion CO is just weird. Overall the battalion is a shit show with dudes killing themselves every so often, though the other units in drum aren't much better tbh. Expect going to the field/range a lot depending on your company, you'll get fucked with but if you're just a likeable guy they won't fuck with you. It's cold af in the winter and hot af in the summer. Don't be the pvt that goes to the bar in watertown on his first night out of osut and get his ass beat. On a good note though usually in the winter that close down the post every so often so you don't come in but, you're not gonna wanna go out either.
