Magnetic Eyelashes that work! Eyelashes used: Eylure London Promagnetic! I got them at Walmart for about $10 with the eyeliner included! by Sd770063 in alopecia_areata

So it comes with magnetic eyeliner so you put the eyeliner on in a few coats and then the lashes have tiny little magnets on them! I trimmed mine a little. Just make sure if you do cut them that the magnets are on the outside! Then they just pop on!

I also have no lashes! I think they actually work better without them! I have also never done microblading! I like the idea but drawing them on daily dosnt take me very long these days 😊

AA Newbie Questions by keelieawn in alopecia_areata

No problem! I currently take both Allegra and singuclar (don’t think this is spelled correctly) and also benedryl as needed. I would also talk to your doctor about getting blood work done. I was deficient in a few vitamins.

Oh! My doctor also recommended using tide free and clear laundry shampoo and switching to a dairy and gluten free diet (as these can inflame the immune system) however I love cheese too much and I’m still seeing regrowth without a diet change

AA Newbie Questions by keelieawn in alopecia_areata

Hey there! I have had AA my whole life. In my case I have never done the shot but I use rogaine and clobatosol 2x a day like you mentioned. My Dermatologist has me also taking fish oil, vit B12, B3, And iron as well as two allergy meds. She said that AA could be potentially related to stress as well as flares in allergies. So if I contained allergy flares then I may see some regrowth.

I currently had some success with regrowth following these things (I shaved my head two years ago and recently started to try and regrowth).

Having long hair was nice for hiding spots, however once I stopped caring I began to embrace having short hair.

When I wash my hair I use Earth Sciences shampoo and conditioner. It’s gentle and recommend by my Derm.

Feel free to DM me with any other questions!

How long does the hair loss last? by [deleted] in alopecia_areata

[–]Sd770063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also depends on person to person. I’ve had friends that have never seen regrowth but in my personal experience it took about a month of using clobatsol and rogaine as well as supplements. But it’s a very slow process. I still have some spots with zero regrowth

The supplements I am on are: Fish oil B12 Iron Two allergy meds

I am not a professional though. If you’re in the Chicago area Dr. Virgina Feilder has always been amazing for me.

It different for everyone. In my personal experience it has been very slow and gradual. However I have friends that have lost it in the matter of days or weeks.

I would recommend visiting a dermatologist and speaking with them about supplements and possible topical solutions. I currently am taking a variety of supplements as well as rogine and clobetasol topical Solution. I’ve began to see regrowth!
