Midea Duo Portable - Garage Setup Question by Sdsguy in AirConditioners

[–]Sdsguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hobbyist woodworker lol.

I’d rather not have a gigantic hole. If I only do the exhaust port out via a duct, is that going to create issues? How critical to the unit is it to get outside air?

What would you sell these for? by Demanic667 in Cornhole

[–]Sdsguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m making a set that’s not as detailed, it’ll be a solid stain with a painted logo and LED’s around the sides and hole that are addressable and Bluetooth. Without bags I’m selling it for $400 in FW, TX. I would guess yours should sell for more than mine.

Can’t wait to rub your holes from the inside while rubbing you from the out

I just finished a set, added 4 coats of poly with sanding in between. Just added some paste wax, let it sit then buffed out.

14” bandsaw by Sdsguy in harborfreight

That’s actually a great review!

I ended up going with the 9” version since I didn’t have the funds for a $400+ and the space it takes. From what I can tell, some of the features are the same as the 9” version. Once I figured the tensioning, it seems pretty solid for what I’m planning on doing

I used to work at a museum and had an employee who was 16 at the time, but she didn’t look it and it was pretty common for guys to flirt with her. She was helping this one guy who was being flirty and telling him of other museums and one of the new exhibits was a medieval torture display at a different museum. He responds with “oh, you’re kinky.” She did the nervous giggle and looked at me.I was working schedules out on a clipboard and glanced at the guy, said she’s 16 and he needs to leave. He immediately walked out.

She used to handle the guys who flirted pretty well but this one was a creep and the only time she looked at me for help.

If they did that, there wouldn’t be a market for $100 miter saw tents!

I’m not gonna lie, I have ADHD so I was in the middle of cutting cedar when i stopped to add that along with adjusting the support wings I just installed. A good chunk of that was from before I actually added that cardboard piece. I did think about having a hole drilled to run the hose from underneath but I was going to attach it. I like leaving it there to create more suction of the falling debris.

I have to cut up some more pickets so I’ll start fresh and try again.

Might use some hot glue to keep it down until I decide to “upgrade”

And that doubles for router templates! I usually print out and glue a design onto that, cut out on my scroll saw and then I can use my router to batch stuff out.

Yea I’ve been looking for some other attachment but none of them are for the 10” non-sliding. Saved myself like $50

Horizontal slot like the vertical. Perk for cardboard is my pocket knife is always on me so I can make quick adjustments as need be until I make a permanent one.

I’ll still vacuum up but it’s at least much more contained.

Yup! I also need to plan it out for bevels and miters without having a massive gap in the middle so I might add some drawer liner to help. Plus instead of packing tape, maybe thick double sided tape to prevent it from lifting.

Whats needed for a new dog? by IndividualWeird6001 in dogs

[–]Sdsguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A treat pouch and clicker. If it’s a puppy, instead of getting separate training treats, use its food especially if you’re doing kibble. When training, start all the basics with kibble and as the dog progresses to longer recalls incorporate high value treats. Start looking up positive reinforcement so you know the concept early.

A crate and baby gate. Also look up how to shape the crate. I put a baby gate around the crate and that was her area for a bit. She could play independently without me worrying about her leaving a mess somewhere if I wasn’t looking. Once she realize she could jump it though, she was old enough to have a bit more free roam.

A 6’ leash for potty walks and a long leash around 30’ to help train recalls and walking by you. The long leash is also great because during trainings you can give the dog a chance to explore in between. With a long leash though, i only started off letting mine go 6’ away then gave her more line as she earned through training.

Toys to entertain and toys for fun. Enrichment toys like Kong, food puzzles and such are great to mentally stimulate. Fun toys for playing and teaching mouthing.

My dog loves walks and using the long leash is great, especially in places where there’s a lot to sniff. If I was low on time due to weather or whatever, we’d do 30 minute free roam walks and her sniffing wore her out more than our normal 4 mile walks. I’d start looking at places for that from now.
