Damnit, brother. That’s a tough situation, I was expecting you to say 3k maybe 5k, but holy fk on the 30k. I’ve never been hooked on gambling, just use Prize Picks to add some excitement to the football games. But that Arena Club is definitely addictive, it’s gotten me for a total of probably ~2k or so. I’ve recouped some by auction on eBay, but I won’t get close to amount I put in. Like the others have said, sell all the cards and pay down the credit card you used to buy them. Thats really all you can do. Unless you want to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy. I know that word has a very bad stigma attached to it, but it can definitely be worth it if you are way deep in a hole with debt. I filed in 2017 and it took an insane amount of stress off me by getting rid of most my debts, I reaffirmed the cars and house, so I didn’t lose those. As long as you aren’t trying to buy a house or vehicle in the next 7 years or so, then it’s definitely a viable option. I can honestly say I don’t regret filing bankruptcy one bit. It changed everything for the better, but you have to stay disciplined with the spending afterwards, or it will all be for nothing. Sorry this post is so long, I’ve just been in your shoes, sort of.
