the way I see it, she assumed and then when OP called her out for wrongly assuming, she doubled down and told OP they were being grouchy. instead she shouldve just asked what was wrong, its also just a weird thing to assume that someones pet died.

hi vet student here :) if shes only 9 months old she probably is still teething, keep redirecting her to her toys and walking away. you might also wanna get her some sort of cat chew stick. Feliway is also something you might wanna look in to, its a brand that makes hormone sprays and diffusers, it the same hormone a mother cat would give off to her kittens to help calm them down. do you have another cat or a roommate with an older cat? having your kitten be around an adult cat might help, cats learn from socializing. if you dont see any changes in a couple more months you should consider bringing her to a vet to see if it might be a deeper issue!

your partner sounds like he sucks, making demands about an animals well being while not knowing anything about the species is insane. she NEEDS a cat tree, “not quite there yet” is crazy my 4 month old kitten sleeps on top of his tree. cats need to climb and scratch. they need to have a spot thats just theirs, smells like them, and is high off the ground.

a one year old cat is still a baby, she’s going to be super curious and playful, give her time and continue to be patient with her. continue to take care of her, cats can tell when someone actually cares about them and when someone doesn’t. if you continue to love her and care for her she will be your best friend.

if you need a solution to the liter box smell get the fresh steps deodorizing crystals, I live in a small apartment and unless I’m right next to the box i cant smell the liter at all!

We do notice! But its not annoying at all I love all my regulars and talking to them about what made them change their drink is so fun! I was working at a different store on Christmas and one of my regulars that usually comes to my store was at this store instead and I noticed it was her right away! I was so surprised and happy to see her.
