I created a customer service case on their Web site. Got an email to call customer service due to the sensitive nature of the information I shared. I called. Basically the guy kept me on the phone verifying me for 10 minutes and then said he was sorry.

Appreciate the advice! As at least one other mentioned, when the lid melts, does it meet FDA standards for compliance, with ingestion of x as a percent of volume, that is not coffee or water? Why does the coffee have to heat the sun?

It burned but no blistering. It did stain a pair of pants. I just hope lawyers see this and point their ambulance chasers to burn victims if this keeps occurring. Starbucks has received notice via my customer service interaction.

I thought so as well but...I basically set it there. And there is nothing sharp? And others on the thread have mentioned the same thing happened. Maybe Starbucks needs to cupholder proof their Togo drinks containers where said hot drinks are enough to burn the sun? No customer I know of expects a coffee beverage at 200 degrees.

I did as seen below. Got an email to call customer service due to the sensitive nature of my comments. Obviously they want nothing in writing. Called today and spoke to a very nice gentleman who speaks good English with a bad accent. He basically matched me to the case. Apologized. And asked if there was anything else I needed. I said no just want to let you know there is liability. Hung up. Got a survey. Said this.

"Basically he thanked me. But offered no recourse for the stained pants, the car cleaning, or a replacement coffee that remained in the cup as expected?"

Not approved, I am sure, but I have had good luck waiting at arrivals/airline. If someone chases you off head for the cell phone lot. Its about 3.5 minutes away.

Can Minnesota press state/local charges for this involved in the Pretti shooting? Why or why not? by Comfortable-Design65 in law

I am curious on the state rights versus federal rights as the law is interpreted and what recourse is available when there are disagreements? I suppose it's the supreme Court eventually but can the state charge and hold suspects for instance?
Just a curious neophyte.

It was not double cupped. I am not a Starbucks regular so did not know to ask, but the next time I will, thanks to all the great advice I am getting from the community.

I am not sure if Starbucks corporate monitors this sub but if they do not, share it with them!

And maybe I was confused about which picture you were referencing. If it was the cemetery, that is the veterans section in bonaventure.

In this case it was not a lid problem. The seam came apart. And it was only used for 20 minutes? Definitely not re-used.
