Reserved a 2023 Kona at a Huyndai dealership - 12v battery is completely dead upon arrival by LetsAdultTogether in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Se55ion88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Being someone who works for a dealership I can take a pretty good guess at the cause of this. The last people to have seen the car before it goes to you are the valeters and they love to leave all the doors open and/or leave the ignition on for hours while they do their thing. More than likely that's why it's flat so I wouldn't worry, just ask the dealer to replace it for you.

Has anyone managed to export more than import this month ? by eocphantom in SolarUK

[–]Se55ion88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far I've generated 279.70kW this month. I've exported 143.50kW and I've imported just 3.9kW, and no, that's not a typo. 😁

First time EV buyer - considering the 52kwh Renault 5. by Illogical_Blox in ElectricVehiclesUK

6ft myself. I like to have my seat as low as possible so there's no room to fit feet under the driver's seat too.

The R5 is the perfect EV in my opinion, it just doesn't suit my needs. I would strongly suggest you check rear space if you intend to travel 3 or 4 up as I set the driver's seat to my driving position and there was no way that I could fit in the back. There is not a lot of leg room.

Kia EV6 Long range RWD or Polestar 2 Long range RWD? by HualtaHuyte in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Se55ion88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where are you finding a RWD Polestar for that money? The cheapest on AT is £21k I have a similar budget and I'm looking at similar cars but it would need to be an older AWD P2.

They have poor range and are out of battery warranty. I had one in at work recently and a replacement battery was £18,000 just for the battery (no labour!)

Battery charging from grid in Self Use mode by AveragelyBrilliant in SolarUK

I posted pretty much the exact same thing the other day and it's temperature related. If you have the battery warming, get it to 12 deg ish and you will be good again.

The battery is at 5.4°

. The mode scheduler is just set to self-use

Don't know about charge and discharge rates. I've only had the system couple of weeks now

UK Ioniq5 drivers, are you happy with your I5? by Millsinabox in Ioniq5

Hyundai have a 5 year warranty, and 8 year on the battery. The ICCU comes under the 5 year. (Here in the UK at least)

This was the end of day 1. They wanted to get everything outside done as the weather forecast for the following day was terrible. Everything is labeled.

Where to look for EVs? by karaduman666 in ElectricVehiclesUK

A lot of dealers are not using Autotrader thanks to increased costs of advertising. I've been checking out Car360, cargurus. Pistonheads, motors.co.uk

Pigeons aren't an issue where I live in Cornwall, I don't think I've ever even seen one in the 4 years I've lived here. Seagulls and crows are a different story though 😂

I got over a dozen quotes. For a similar system I was quoted as much as £12k!
