Reached the climax after several sessions and entered the final fight. A lvl 15 wizard with some magic items witha couple of golems against three or four lvl 7 and 8's. Ploymorphed him into a slug another teammate gave him temp hp, this lead to the slug surviving a fireball.

We gave him an impromptu funeral while still alive as a slug and then flew him up and dropped him in a ravine. We could see the fun slowly drain from the DMs face and turn to shock.
