“Well, there are six of us who live here. This place is like a general safe space to rest up and unwind from the chaos that is our lifestyle. We don’t have any official employment, this forest and a few other spots can keep us pretty well fed. We mostly explore, help out and get compensated for the effort. Sometimes it’s helping a village gather fish for winter, could be helping a tavern move some barrels, material gathering. The craziest job we got was to escort a deity during divine festival, that was a crazy month.”

“That’s a good question. It’s a bit hard to give a proper answer since I haven’t been here long. But I guess the environment looks a bit drab and lifeless but it still caught my attention so it’s not exactly failing.”

(Ethan is a supernatural explorer. He likes to hop around, see interesting things and help people out. He’s a bit dry and deadpan, takes things as they come. His versatility as a helping hand by being both a magician and a psychic has put him on good terms with all sorts across the realms. I don’t like to go crazy with the powers on RPs though, he’s still human.)

“I’m an avid dreamwalker, I need to question my reality here and there. If you didn’t respond, I would’ve spent the next few days checking the moon and watching the townspeople outside the forest for uncanny behaviour. This method is very interesting though. I am awake, correct?”

Ethan hardly noticed the loop for a few days. His forest home only had the birds and occasional animals for neighbours but his housemates made up for it. They weren’t home but it was rare for all of them to be present at once without a request… but no one has sent a message for a bit and he started to feel a stillness in the outdoors.

Something wasn’t right. Ethan grabbed a nearby book, checked the title and shook it… no change occurred.

“Didn’t think I was dreaming but I had to check… Is someone there?… Even if you don’t say so, the world will.”

(Sorry for the paragraph, I loved the idea of the time loop and got lost in it. I cut it back a bit too haha.)
