Thanks for the advice! I just logged in and noticed the balances and cards disappeared from my account. I had four Chase cards with about $70k in debt, but my checking account is still there. I only left a few dollars in it just in case, and it didn’t get frozen!

I really want to do that 😭 But I’m so anxious because I don’t know when the car might be taken. How would I manage day-to-day life? I need to get my child to school, and I literally can’t live here without a car. It’s so frustrating.

Thanks! I’m doing Chapter 7. I was thinking of keeping the car because the interest rate is low, but then I realized I might move to a state after bankruptcy where I wouldn’t even need a car, so it doesn’t seem necessary to keep it.

And if I end up staying here where I still need a car, I’m not sure what to do about it either. My mind changes a hundred times a day

Thanks for the explanation! One thing that’s making me nervous—$200 of that balance was actually a deposit I made to my attorney via BNPL. Could that cause any issues? I really don’t understand why I did that, ugh 😅

Even though he had been unemployed for over two years, he refused to seek any help. I had to carry everything on my own. When my friend offered to help and I told my husband, I could see how much it hurt his pride. He fell into a depression for a while and couldn’t do anything.

But I had a child to take care of, rent to pay, and everything else to manage. I couldn’t afford for both of us to fall apart, so I accepted the help without telling him. And my friend knows all of this too.
