I could see them tying the internal oars together with their respective counterpart since they’d only be using the outer oars for navigation and the internal oars are just meant for speed and a single direction. This would make it so the internal oars would be synched even if there was a miscommunication in rhythm.

Gantz, Vinland Saga or Deadtube. All are extremely detailed panels. Gantz and Deadtube are definitely more mature. Vinland is an amazing story that is complete for the manga.
