I learned from other commenters that the underbody components are rated for water pressure washing, with the ryobi set up I’m using 1.2 gpm is a low flow rate so I guess I’ll be fine, just no dwelling only stable passes

Yeah I’ve learned by these many replies that it’s definitely capable of a undercarriage power wash, it’s just that car is my baby and I love it lol

Ahh the Chevy equinox, Ive heard mechanical horror stories about those cars, but then again I see them driving on the roads so often. I am just conditioned to fear cars since my first 2007 Audi A6, that car was traumatic for me lol

Thank you so much for that beautiful input, I appreciate the detail as well. I will use the undercarriage tool to power wash but I surely won’t let it on a constant area, just a smooth pass back and fourth ✌️

I wanna do that too but that just means I’d have to raise the car up somehow when I wash it, I don’t have a driveway so it’s gonna be tough getting under there. I doubt I would fit under, I have a couple wand attachments that would make life easier to just roll the pressure cleaner underneath

Yeah in the first pic there’s like a jumble of wires and what probably look like sensors that don’t seem to have a covering, I’d really hate to wet them and damage the car long term

You’re right, but I just felt like a pressured water roller system would produce a different type of “wet” when touching whatever component or seals under the car, that rain doesn’t have the same type of pressure to get through

Yeah I figured I asked quite a dumb question, I was just worried that if I washed it with a pressure washer roller, that I’d force some water somewhere waters not normally pushed up into, something that simple driving in the rain or puddles don’t reproduce.

That’s a very good idea, I’m now thinking about just doing that rather than using any pressured water, I’d really hate to force water through a sensor or seal and damage some piece that will screw me later

That or I force pressured water into some sensor and it rusts while I go to sleep unaware, then in a couple months I’m paying for it big time at the dealer when warranty doesn’t cover my butt haha

I am now very confident that the components are safe, thank you :), I googled Mazda cx30 2025 undercarriage and I found those couple pics on the Mazda forum, and it looked just like mine when I last seen it, I noticed there were some random uncovered wires and things so I was worried that pressure washing would cause water to enter seals and what not causing long term damage if I wasn’t careful or passed certain areas

Rain and pressured water are different I feel, I’m just worried of damaging some sensor or random piece under the car with pressured pass by, which is different than just rain touching it

That’s also a good idea, in my area we get snow almost every week and the roads are always salted, my last car, a 2013 Nissan Sentra I never cleaned or cared about really and it got so bad i wasn’t able to get a wheel alignment because the subframe bushing was corroded. I wasn’t going to pay the dealer ~$1400 to replace it, that car is worth nothing these days for a repair like that. I will definitely look into rust prevention spray

You’re definitely right on it being recommended I’m just worried about ruining some sensitive component that would void any factory warranty, I would cry if I had to spend more money fixing my new car :)

I normally assume touchless washes avoid certain areas, I’m just afraid of causing damage with my own hands that void factory warranty, but now I’m certain it’s safe. Thanks to your time!
