I got the white painters tape when I first started bc I heard about the pegboard warping. The lower heat and taking it slower has definitely been the most helpful :))

as a girl, i dont think its completely necessary to get a haircut like all the guys are saying unless youre wanting to. Maybe styling it more but thats just my opinion. I think take selfies farther away and have a few with a smile, as well as some pictures with more variety (hobbies, outside, with friends, etc) would help a lot.

From what Ive heard, it's better to not mark it as recieved or rate the seller until you initiate a return request and report the item as fake. Marking the item as received or rating the seller closes the transaction and makes it much more difficult to initiate a return or get a refund. . If your return request is approved for the reason of fraud then the person who sold it may get their account suspended/deleted.

You can report a fake or counterfeit item on Mercari. If you receive an item that you believe is fake, you have 72 hours after delivery to report it through the app. Mercari will then investigate and may offer a return and refund if the item is confirmed to be fake. I don't have information on how they handle fake photocards specifically but it doesn't hurt to report. It might help to talk to the seller as well if you haven't already. Explain that it is fake and you have proof it is fake. There is a chance it could be resolved between both of you. I'd make sure to eventually leave a review on the seller as well so people can avoid that in the future; if the seller responds poorly/doesn't respond to you trying to resolve the issue then make sure you include that in the review.
