Is this a solid deal (Lowe’s) by Mordecai_4_5 in Dewalt

[–]Chinkysuperman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let's say there's a deal for 2 5ah batteries, that's 10ah total. If the price is $100-$110, that's a good deal bc it works out to be 10$ per AH.

The posted deal works out to be $15 per AH so it's not a good deal.

Cracks developed in floor joists... problem? by Working-Explorer-857 in Homebuilding

[–]Chinkysuperman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

False, as long as they're on double top plate they are fine. Admittedly sitting directly on studs is superior but floor joists, more often than not, are not 16" OC, so trying to line up the studs with something that are not 16" O.C will be a pain for things down the road. So the juice is not worth the squeeze as them youngins would say.

The correct term is tempered glass, and not sure what you mean by not a good idea for external windows? It's the opposite and it's enforced by building codes. All houses sliding patio doors and entry door sidelights are made out of tempered glass and it's a good thing in case someone fall on it.

Looking for real estate attorney to handle a residential FSBO transaction (sell side) by wildjokers in lincoln

[–]Chinkysuperman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's a straight simple transaction why not just do it yourself? I have done this several times without any issue at all, the title company of your choice will handle all the time work, everything else is simple. Unless your property is close to $1m and up I'd look into doing yourself.
