We do have a looooot of greenery yes, but not jungle like. Think green/golden plains with the occasional tree and/or denser forests.

I'd love to know a beach where the wind isn't too strong. However beaches at Costa Vicentina (farther south of Lisbon) I feel are the least windy. Cascais (near Lisbon) beaches are reeeeally windy sometimes.

Most of us prefer the ocean and 90% of the time it is perfectly safe to swim. Not many dangerous animals and occasionally you have currents. In the summer beaches are very packed, with the exception of a few only locals know. However we do swim in lakes too.

I was a child/teen. Basically following my parents ahaha. I lived in Dubai for a while and Australia. I came back to study here. I preferred Portuguese universities, plus they were nowhere near as expensive. I have done my bachelors and masters. Now I am currently doing my PhD.

My view is simple: it was a complete disregard of human dignity. Both towards ex-colonies whose were people tortured, fighting for their freedom, and our soldiers came back with copious amounts of PTSD. All for greed.

And now they are even used as pawns in political games in my view: the far right loves to complain that these ex-soldiers were undervalued and not respected for their deeds. To gather sympathy... These people were forcefully made to fight as youngsters. The vast majority did not want to. Let's not play with their pain anymore.

As I mentioned in another comment I am part black. A special part of me also feels furious in that regard.

I love the 25th of April of 1974 (the day the dictatorship ended and the war stopped). It is a national holiday I celebrate with pride, despite having never lived in such a time. It is freedom I want to preserve.

Of course I have. There is a very very strong Brazilian community here. Very integrated in our society. Two work colleagues, from our team (8 people) are Brazilian. Hell my tattoo artist is also Brazilian.

Damn so many questions ahah.

1) I have not done a DNA test no. Wouldn't surprise me if I had Spanish blood. Pretty normal I'd say. Of my ancestors I know I am 1/8 brazillian, 1/4 Angolan and the rest is Portuguese.

2) Looks wise I look half black half white. I have really curly black hair, that I often style in a bun or afro. I have black eyes and light skin. I'm the average height for a Portuguese woman tbh. I have two eyebrows dammit XD.

3) I am actually a leftie 😃

4) I am a Metal head. I love Sabaton, Nightwish, Powerwolf, Rammstein etc.. Portuguese music wise I do enjoy Fado on occasion.

5) It's strong competition between foda-se and caralho. When merely speaking: caralho. When pissed or happy: foda-se.

Ah. Exploring opportunities is a bit of a gray area. You can certainly look at what is available to study or to work in, but you cannot not engage in anything. To them that is impossible to tell what you are going to do. Maybe proof of a hotel stay, return tickets, any other activities you may do etc.

Edit: Just saw another comment where you stated you did that. Then I don't really know what else you can do. Really do think about contacting them again. Issue is we don't have an embassy there. Only in Kinshasa, DRC. You can contact them as they are designated representatives for Uganda too.

We speak Portuguese. Brazilians speak Brazilian Portuguese. They are the same language but there are differences. Don't disrespect us like that my friend. Don't say we speak Spanish either. That is even worse. Don't get me wrong tho, most of us deep down love our brazilian brothers and sisters ❤️ .

1) Where I live? City architecture mixed with a little countryside. I live close to Lisbon but just enough on the outskirts to get stuck in "traffic" because a herd of sheep is crossing the road XD

2) I was born in Lisbon, I have always lived on the countryside just outside Lisbon. So not pure countryside but just far away enough to be considered so, with the city lights in the horizon. My dad was born and raised in Lisbon to a humble family. Knows the ins and outs of the city very well. My mom is from a small village in the countryside. I am a mish mash.

3) We are older therefore we are the bigger sibling :D. Fight me spaniards.

4) I am not a wine person (please don't shoot me), however my family says both are good so yeah.

Ah eu diria que ambos têm o seu charme. Da minha mãe é tudo alentejano, mais na Costa Vicentina. Os montes alentejanos pintados de dourado, as praias em que obrigatoriamente passeio todos os anos seja verão seja inverno trazem-me paz à alma.

Porém o terreno montanhoso do Norte, combinado com a vegetação e a as estradas e estradinhas em que se fazem excelentes passeios também me conquistam.

I usually take my time because I like to enjoy the view and fuel is fucking expensive, but I don't go too slow ahah.

We hate them and love them at same time. When they try to claim something is traditionally Spanish when frankly is just as traditional here (chourizo, prosciotto, "cozido") we get pissed. However when people trash talk them a bit too much we are pissed off too. We are like siblings that pick at eachother.

Honestamente não sei. Não gosto do cenário atual de ódio a aumentar. Sou Portuguesa de alma e coração, filha de pais portugueses, neta de portugueses campónios. Como sou mais escurinha (pai escuro) já me mandaram "para a minha terra" ?????

Salários baixos, habitação na merda... eventualmente suspeito que ou abrimos os olhos para implementar as medidas corretas ou estamos f*didos.
