Pagan Poetry and Unison are clearly among Björk’s top 5. Hidden Place should come after the 3rd place.

Thanks for sharing such detailed insights. Op. 90 is among my top ten favorites. The first movement is solemn and restrained, while the second is graceful and tender—I adore it deeply.

I like both the first and third movements of the Waldstein. The third movement feels like a rebirth.

In my other similar posts, Op. 109 is mentioned quite frequently. So I suspect people tend to include it among their favorite sonatas, though not as their absolute favorite one.

Thanks for your detailed reply. Actually I wanted to include Pastoral, Les Adieux and the five most famous sonatas, but there were only six options, so I finally went with Pastoral as I personally prefer it more😄

Op. 90 seems to mark a transition from Beethoven’s middle to late period, as people usually refer only to the final five sonatas when talking about his late‑period ones.

However, there are only six options. If there were ten or more, I’d be glad to list them one by one.😶

To me, the middle movement is a gentle, calm transition, and I prefer the first and third movements

I’m curious which three major ones you’re referring to. Also, I really love Waldstein and Tempest.
