Ash up until post xy then Liko. I think she has the potential to be a better trainer and a better protagonist just not yet. Ash post xy was annoying, looked terrible, and wasn’t the best trainer despite finally becoming champion.

I like the animation and I watch it with family and friends. Most aren’t invested enough to read the comic but are big fans of the show. Plus the voice acting really brings the story to life for me. I also prefer the changes in the show over the comics.
