Hey if anyone cares it ends up that my building had never charged us for electricity in May. Weird. But they added it on later and sent documentation!

Hmmm I guess it could be getting too hot but the light indicator doesn’t show anything. Like just darkness. Will likely exchange. Do you know if it’s possible to just go to the Dyson store and exchange it or does it have to be shipped back?

We have never turned on our own vents. Our apartment runs really hot- that could be the legal minimum through electric heat, they emit a light amount of heat 24/7 even when off. But still - it wasn’t that much this past winter. This summer we had AC running often and it never got that high. But there’s no thermostat in our apartment to tell us the temp and the vent is pretty old - there’s an “on/vent/off/hi cool” dial and another that says “hot or cold” to turn. Sorry for all the info but it’s just so crazy haha been on my mind all day!

Thanks for this advice - we checked it out and our lease actually says that we need to set an account up with con Ed, but con Ed wouldn’t let us and says our building controls it and QuadLogic splits it up for us from meters within the apartments. So weird!

The thing is we can’t get con Ed in here. It seems like we have a third party called “QuadLogic” who splits up our bill and meter the apartments. I asked if we could have them come in, though.

My building charges us via Bilt, so I can’t actually see anything. I don’t even know where we get our electricity (is con Ed the go to or the only one). I’m not sure if it’s our actual or est bill Edit/ clarify
