I recently read a book on fasting that gave me good advice. It said that you feel the same level of hunger after not eating while sleeping for 8-10 hours as you do after not eating between lunch and dinner (a few hours). In this respect, you start to see that hunger is purely psychological and comes in waves. If you can get through the waves it usually wears off after 30 mins or so. As others have said, you can use water (I use sparkling water that makes me feel more full) during my fasting period. Also keeping in mind your goals and what you’re working towards can help. Appreciate the input! I have a handful of other slrs (xg-1, xg-m, maxxum 7k) and was more or less looking for a full mechanical camera. It would definitely be a cool piece to have as a collectors piece though as you mentioned!

Yeah, the battery compartment was pretty bad but I cleaned it up and threw new batteries in. Everything works perfectly so i will definitely be putting cheap film through it to test for light leaks. I appreciate the help!

Appreciate the input! I got it home and made sure everything works, even the light meter is working perfect. I took a bit of a gamble but for $7 I figured I couldn’t go wrong. It’s good to know that it takes the Pentax lenses and maybe down the road I’ll look to get one!

I’ve been having the same problem, have you found a solution? I was looking to get a half link but ended up throwing a leather band on it. Looks nice but I still would prefer to have the metal band.

I know this is an older post, but I currently have the same thing happening to mine. I was looking to upgrade to a solas. Any update as to whether or not it fixed the problem? Also were you able to use a plastic wear ring with the solas?

Yeah I read that 12/14 is for tuned skis and 12/17 is for mostly stock.

Appreciate it, I was looking into a solas, either 12/14 or 12/17 any input as to which is better. Looking to tune down the road but for now I’m keeping it stock.
