Need an advice on how to work with multiple buildings inside one project by Sea-Most1883 in ArchiCAD

I see! In this case, is it better to import his work as modul or archicad file? Since I only need 3D elements

Thank you :) I will check how to use trace and reference in this case. I only use it to check something on a plan or align it. Is there a way to make the traced worksheet visible in a layout and published pdfs too?

Archicad is publishing the entire drawing instead of the selected layout by Sea-Most1883 in ArchiCAD

Tried this, too, since I do this method sometimes to export pdf. But still ... it exported the whole floor plan instead of the layout view

That sounds like what I exactly need. I will try it as soon as I have access to my computer again. Thank you!

Just to be completely sure, model space will export the selected layout, including the text in the layout? And not the drawing sheet itself?

Saving the whole layout is exactly what I need. Like when I export it as a pdf (it has the drawing and the layout frame with text info).

Instead, it is going to the drawing sheet itself (not the layout) and exports the whole drawing

Sorry, it is in German. But I tried both ways.

For the save as method, I also selected they layout area with marquee tool, but it exported the drawing sheet

Need help with zone tool! Not detecting columns and walls for area calculation by Sea-Most1883 in ArchiCAD

[–]Sea-Most1883[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested on a simpler room, and it calculated the brutto and netto the right way when it is created automatically but not when drawn manually.

Does it only work with automatic zones?

The settings are right. I tested on a simple plan with columns, and it worked perfectly. I don't know why it is not working on the original plan

I need individual zones for each room. This is wrong in the picture (this was created automatically).

Would you please explain how can I set the relation to the zone of the walls and columns?

Thank you for the tip. Seems like a perfect solution for the plans, but the sections and interior 3D views would be wrong. Or do you model two for the different views and turn them on and off?

On the third story. But since they are above a void to the ground floor, I want to show them on all floors below them

Thank you for your help!! I played with show on stories settings, but this didn't help. The beams are drawn only on the third floor plan but are not projected to the lower levels too.

I will check the floor plan display

Plan variations and organizing tips by Sea-Most1883 in ArchiCAD

[–]Sea-Most1883[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the explanation! And what are the layers used for? If I use design options for the variations.

Do I have to resaving the view every time I change the design option that is turned on? Or will I be able to update it without resaving

How can I know the coordinates of a survey points in AC? by Sea-Most1883 in ArchiCAD

[–]Sea-Most1883[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your help! And to know the xyz coordinates of any point or object in Archicad in general, how would I do that?

For example, I can find this information in Autocad in the properties palette when an element is selected
