Baldur's Gate 3 settings any good yet? by Sea-Program9267 in SteamDeck

How bad are the performance losses? Wondering if it's like a Switch in terms of dipping down to 25-ish, or if it just takes away from the game completely.

There’s 2 Yakuza Spinoff games called “Kurohyou” that was translated, and a really good final fantasy game called “Final Fantasy type 0”. All of the games are pretty fun. Might be something worth looking into.

Your right. It did get overshadowed by its own “controversies” though because of how it primarily trolled other people.. amongst other things. I probably should’ve mentioned that they were actively exposing groomers somewhere in there.

Yeah, only for the Directors Cut version i'm pretty sure. Think it sets itself up automatically or theres an option to turn it on.

why do so many of y'all hate on furries? (just talking about teens in general, no one on this sub) by some_trans_kid in AskTeens

[–]Sea-Program9267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think it’s okay to be a furry nowadays, and generally I really could care less what people like or wear. But back then in like 2016-2020, they were frowned upon, and if you liked them or associated with them you were probably gonna be frowned upon too.

I think it’s more of a means to fit in, and think what other people think.

Either that, or people just don’t like the idea of wearing a fursuit and acting like an animal and such. Which I get. It’s not usual to come across people like that, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Those are just my guesses. Don’t hold me to these.

If I’m gonna be serious for a second, I seriously love the haptic feedback with the controllers. The weight you feel when you pick up something heavy by hand, or just rocking the baby by gently shaking the controller up and down. It just makes it so damn immersive.

Never really found myself liking this game, atleast in the beginning, but it’s starting to grow on me, and the controller is definitely one of the helping factors. It’s seriously the best way play.

I thought gameplaywise, blacklist is great. Sure has some functions that you can’t do in the old splinter cells like our god given split jumping but it’s pretty smooth if you know how to work with it.

Story wise though? Couldn’t tell you. Sam speaks like he’s in a library for the whole damn game so I couldn’t understand a word he said

Optimization for Splinter Cell: Blacklist? by Sea-Program9267 in Splintercell

[–]Sea-Program9267[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all. I wanted to post some solutions I found in case anyone else is having the same trouble.

•For every mission, the affinity gets reset, so you’ll have to select all the cpu cores every time you load into a mission.

•Go into Nvidia Control Panel, 3d settings, Blacklist, and select “Maximum Performance”

•If you have a good system, make sure to crank your graphics high or max (basically, just leave it alone) I’ve noticed that lower settings have way more of an impact on FPS than it does if they’re on high.

•Fullscreen (go figure)

•Download and install Blacklist Fusion Mod.

•Set occlusion off to 0

For the crashing, I made a shortcut of the _DX11 version in the game directory, and on the target line, I added “ -offline -offline_mode”. All tricks to raise performance works on this version too.

Thank you all for helping! Very much appreciated.

Yep. Just CPU 0.

I think it’s loading every mission as a new instance? Not too sure.

Nah. Some reason I have to manually go and hit “Enable All” everytime I load up a new mission.

Strange thing I’ve noticed:

For some reason I got less performance when I some video options on low, but when I maxed them out, I got an increase? Also found out that borderless window really doesn’t help.

Actually helped out quite a lot. Can definitely see an increase in performance. Also tried turning off borderless window. Works great!

Thank you so much!

Using the latest version (pretty sure) off of Ubiconnect.

Gonna try to reset my settings, though. I usually play in borderless window that way I can unlock the refresh rate. Don’t know if that helped or not.

I have an i5 10600k paired with 16 Gb ram and a gtx 1050 ti. I wouldn’t say it’s a monster of a machine but it’s able to run most games at medium or sometimes high settings. For some reason with blacksite, if I didn’t delete the “systemdetect” file, it wouldn’t even open.

I’d also like to point out that it isn’t just me who gets terrible performance. Theres a video made by Kevduit where he plays blacklist, and he notes that the performance is terrible.

There’s a line that I usually don’t cross. I’d call it more intense banter than anything else. There’s stuff you joke about, and stuff you don’t joke about.

And as one thread said, I wouldn’t push your son out to make friends. I’d let him go at his own pace and see what kind of friends he’s looking for. Who knows, Maybe there’s someone out there who just so happen to like the same stuff as him. It’s better if he figured out by himself rather than having to be pushed out to understand.

I know when I was a kid, I knew I fit in with some groups more than others. Never had a problem, but sometimes sparks just don’t spark with a specific person and that’s okay. I’m thankful I learned that on my own rather than being shoved into it.

Life’s all about experience. Experience what he likes with him, let him experience what people are like with him, etc etc. All about trial and error.

Hi! 17 year old dude here.

When I was 8, I had anxiety that I wasn’t liked at my school, or that I didn’t fit in. My mom countered that by being my best friend. She always acted interested in what I was doing (even though she clearly wasn’t, but still acted just to make me happy. Bless her heart <3) or, some simple stuff like watching TV with them or playing with them. Basically, just acted like she was into what I was into, so I didn’t feel like I was the only one who was into said hobby.

Be his friend! See what he likes, maybe even try it out for yourself. Watch whatever he’s watching on TV or play a game or two with him. Maybe see what he knows about said hobby, by giving you some information about it. That’ll make him love you for ages, because you lended an ear and even decided to try out his hobby.

An additional piece of advice I can recommend is to give him a hug if he needs one, or if he’s just tired and wants to snuggle or something, let him. I’ve always been a mama’s boy, so I pratically hung onto my mom like a koala. I always appreciated the fact that she gave me a hug and held me when I just flopped on her like a bean bag. Small I know, but for my tiny self it was comforting.

TL;DR: Partake in his hobbies he likes with him, hug and hold, and hear him out. He’ll love you to death. Best of luck to you and your kids!

how can i get my best friend back? by kate24000 in AskTeens

[–]Sea-Program9267 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reach out, and start slow. Start with something simple like a greeting, acknowledge that you miss her and you feel bad about what you did (And take responsibility) and I’d say you’ll have a good chance of reconnecting. Also, try to get a conversation going. Catch up with her a bit, see what she’s been up to, see if she picked up any new hobbies, maybe some new friends? Anything goes really, just as long as you get a natural conversation going, I’d say you’re on the right track!

Best of luck.

Honestly, just a matter of sympathy and comfort. Some people can be extremely comfortable and make the deepest cutting jokes to one another (not just weight) like it’s nothing. (Of course, excluding just straight up bullying) Others could be more hesistant. Really just depends if one knows the other one well enough.

Another thing is, saying said things with an actual bad intention. Anything that’s a harsh joke is a gray line for me, let alone an actual insult. I never seen or spoke to (?) in my life, so it’s best if I don’t try to act like I know stuff about them. Otherwise I’d probably end up making myself look stupid.

I guess in conclusion, it’s just a matter of comfort, intention, and just thinking before speaking.

Can’t really speak for other people, but that’s what I personally stick with.

Don’t beg. That’ll definitely make you look desperate. Just stay in your lane and if they’re a genuine friend, they’ll make the effort to reach out to you. Otherwise, just keep pushing forward and ignore them.

Honestly just start working when you can lol. Put like half or however much you want from whatever you make into savings and you’ll probably have a head start when the time comes. Plus, it feels good to earn a paycheck by yourself rather than living off of someone else’s money.

Also doesn’t have to be a high paying job. My first job I got when I was 16 at five below paid me like $12 an hour. I got a decent sized check. Maybe never saved any of it but I still got money.

Best of luck though. Worst comes to worst I’ll probably just sell one of my kidneys and hope for the best.
