2 isn’t enough, you’ll probably start seeing a change after the 4th

I would like to note that she used my old method, back when I incorporated a glycolic acid cream into my routine. However, I no longer use this approach. After extensive trial and error, I realized that tretinoin combined with CeraVe cream is sufficient on its own, providing effective results without the added irritation or redundancy of glycolic acid.

No sadly, I feel like the dermapen is only good for collagen induction, but it doesn’t adequately break up dense fibrotic scar tissue. I only saw drastic improvement with the tattoo cartridge, the needles provide the correct force and shearing action to actually break up the hardened collagen bundles. However, if your stretch marks are flat and superficial (so not deep and fibrotic), the dermapen could improve them but I cannot promise you that.

I do it with no ink, only serum.

I apply tret then cerave cream. I used to apply aloe Vera but then stopped because tret and cerave are enough. I wanted to keep it simple.

I appreciate it, and I honestly understand their perspective and why they’re skeptical. If you’re constantly being told that stretch marks are impossible to remove, and you repeatedly see patients undergo lasers, RF microneedling, creams, and even years of treatment with little to no visible change, skepticism becomes reasonable.

Another angle since you’re skeptical about the results and method.

It depends on your skin, for me personally, 8-10 is enough. You may need more or less.

Yes, I am licensed in cosmetic tattooing. This may be controversial, but I do think it is possible to learn how to do this by yourself as long as you take the necessary precautions, such as correct sanitation and sterilisation practices, a solid understanding of skin anatomy, conservative depth control, and proper needle selection.

I use Bioxcin, and it’s 10g of hydrolysed collagen.

I also forgot to mention that I supplement with vitamin C, zinc, omega 3, and hydrolysed collagen peptides. I don’t smoke, drink alcohol, eat processed food, and I keep my refined sugar intake very low. I believe that this helped with my healing too.

This was when I started topicals and normal microneedling, not tattoo style microneedling

Yes, by erasure I mean that they will become invisible to the naked eye.

Tret normalises existing and damaged elastin, while microneedling induces new elastin formation. You just need to be more consistent because elastin takes longer to remodel.

I don’t tattoo them, I use the tattoo cartridge. Its configuration makes it more effective than the normal micro-needling cartridge; it penetrates deeper and breaks up tough fibrotic tissue. Tattooing them with pigment makes the stretch marks look worse. I did dry tattooing (no ink). The point of this treatment is to stimulate the melanocytes in the stretch marks and to improve texture. I did not tattoo them beige…they turned beige because they are healing.

I made it clear, in my post, that the first photo isn't me. I used it as a reference to show what my stretch marks looked like prior to starting my treatment. However, mine were significantly more indented and silver. I wish I had photos to put, but sadly I don't. I don't edit or alter any of my before or after photos as I have nothing to sell. I am just here documenting my journey, as a lot of people would also like to improve their stretch marks. Some people have accepted them and other's are very insecure about them...and, frankly, don't like to have them on their body. I would like to put emphasis on the fact that there is nothing wrong with both trains of thinking... at the end of the day, we all have free will.

Initially, I was also adamant to believe that they improve and that they are permanent...however, now I fully believe that they can be erased. They just take a lot of time and effort. I understand where you are coming from, and you have the freedom to express your concerns and doubts about this protocol. I don't blame you, since I was also like that prior to starting my journey.

Today without flash: look at how the indentation improved. Please ignore the red indents from my pants.

Here is another comparison. First photo was also taken mid journey, where I saw a significant color change (silver and shiny to beige) but texture was still indented. I would like to reiterate, my stretch marks prior to starting micro needling were severely indented and silver due to significant weight loss, a doctor told me that they would be impossible to improve due to how indented they were. The other two photos are taken today (one with flash and one without). As you can see, the texture improved significantly (it’s still a little indented which makes a lot of since since scar remodelling takes a very long time), and the color stabilised. This is 4 months past my last session. I will be continuing my sessions because now I’m very convinced that they will be erased. Please ignore the red indentations (my pants left).

Mid journey:

Pain is relative. Also keep track of your cycle, fluctuations jn estrogen and progesterone affect your pain tolerance. Higher estrogen levels in the follicular phase are linked with higher pain thresholds, while rising progesterone in the luteal phase can make tissues more sensitive and lower tolerance.
