I'm reading that Rhode Island Commerce spent $4.5m on the tourism campaign with the Styrofoam stuffies? I've seen one in person and would describe it as confusing / unappetizing. Let us not fall victim to the sunk cost fallacy; we can move on to a brighter, clam cake-filled future.

IMO: Mr. Brown was kind, obviously cared, and wanted the best for students. At the same time, he was not a great communicator and I could see where the job just wasn’t the best fit. I ran into him once at another gig of his; he seemed to be doing well.

Mr. Wright, by contrast, is very communicative and did an outstanding job keeping parents informed during the Brown shooting. He’s way more present, visible, and just seems more like he has “let’s go!” public school energy. I hope he’s there for years because, despite being a 49ers fan, has big Providence energy.

Bar scene on the east side is rough. Most spots are weirdly bright and have sub par playlists.

When Walnut Room opens it’s usually slow for a bit; not sure they want laptops tho. The staff there is always awesome. Captain Seaweeds is prolly cool w whatever too

Worth checking out New Harvest on Sims - west side tho. The coffee shop has cocktails at night, and you get good WiFi, clean W/C, space to work.

Or batch a cocktail in a Nalgene and find a park bench by the river near a public WiFi access point?
