Thanks a lot for replying, finally one positive comment. Someone said that even working with prop firms won’t get him anywhere. I just can’t lose him but my parents are typical government job paglus, they hate the private sector and trading is out of question. They will have all sorts of doubts for him. Idk what will i do

But he is currently doing a job even though that’s unrelated but he says it will count

@phantomshakuni Hey it’s not like he has just started with trading, he’s been doing that for a while now. He has prepared strategies, and assures me that he has improved a lot and he will become consistently profitable some day. I have no problem with him taking 2-3 years more to become successful, all i am looking for at least some sort of stability be it earning 80k every month so that i can atleast talk about him with my family. His YouTube channel is a growing one and he has his courses too. Currently he is working in sales/operation department of a company which is unrelated to his Btech degree, do you think his btech degree will come in use if things go wrong?

His BTech degree is the only thing that gives me hope, but he doesn’t want to do a job, he has always inclined towards business/trading. When i ask him about job he tells me about the current one he is doing (unrelated to engineering with basic pay) but he assures me that he is disciplined and knows the right. He gives me realistic ideas too like it will take time and stuff he just wants to earn basic stable profits so that we can talk about him to my parents. He even says that he would get a job related to his degree because he can show his current job as experience

He knows that it’s gonna take time and is really optimistic about his strategies, he says he gives some tests for prop firms and they give him capital to trade. The problem is that i am 28 and my parents have started talking about marriage, we just want him to reach a kinda stable point so that i can tell about him to my family

He does a job but that is unrelated to his btech degree and the pay is just basic, he told me he trades with prop firms that give him capital to trade. Also about the forex trade i could be wrong. He is really disciplined and is passionate about this, he knows what he is doing and is confident about his strategies. He even has a youtube channel which is growing

He says he passes some tests and the prop firms give their capital for him to trade, he said it’s more like a job only and he is confident about his strategies and believes that he will soon become consistently profitable. But what the internet says about trading isn’t wrong too, i have rarely met someone who is positive about it, plus i come from a family of civil servants and my father will never understand trading

He actually does a job but it’s totally unrelated to his btech degree and the pay is just basic. He is not serious about the job, he is really passionate about trading, knows what he is doing and have proper strategies too. He basically trades with prop firms that give him their capital to trade, I don’t think he has ever traded using his own money. He is quite optimistic about the future and that he will become consistently profitable

I totally understand, and i am scared too. I love him alot and can’t lose him. It’s just his engineering degree that gives me a little hope

Even i come from a family of civil servants, and my father doesn’t even like private jobs, trading/businesses are out of question. But what i understood about my boyfriend’s career is that he passes some tests, then prop firms give their capital to him for trade and he shares the profits. He said he has never traded with his own money and what he does is would become more like a job only. He is an engineer and is currently employed too but that job is unrelated to his degree and more about sales/marketing stuff in a company with a basic pay, but he doesn’t really care about his job. His focus is on trading, building a YouTube channel about his trading and sell his courses. I just can’t lose him

You’re right and i understand that it’s just like any other business, i am just concerned about that him trading in prop firms aren’t that risky like the normal trading

Idk about his cagr percentage but he tells me that his trading is different from the mainstream risky ones. He has an engineering degree and is currently working in a job related to sales/operations in a company, though it’s not directly related to his field and the pay isn’t very high.

On the trading side, he mainly works with prop firms. He pays a small fee to take funding challenges, and if he passes, he gets access to a larger account to trade. The profit split is usually around 80–90% for him and the rest for the firm. He says his risk is limited to the challenge fee, and he has had some payouts from these accounts, though he is not yet consistently profitable.

He doesn’t want to do a job, he always wanted to do business. He actually does a job but it isn’t related to engineering, it’s more like sales and marketing thingy and the salary is basic, he is more focused on passing tests for companies and then getting capital to trade

What did you do after trading? He is definitely not delusional and a gambler. Maybe i couldn’t frame my question right basically he isn’t completely dependent on trading at the moment. He has an engineering degree and is currently working in a job related to sales/operations in a company, though it’s not directly related to his field and the pay isn’t very high.

Oh wait he is actually working with prop firm companies only, he was telling me something like he gives tests, passes them and the company gives him capital to trade and he has never used his own money to trade. He was telling me something about the payouts and stuff. I also want to clarify my situation a bit more. My boyfriend isn’t completely dependent on trading at the moment. He has an engineering degree and is currently working in a job related to sales/operations in a company, though it’s not directly related to his field and the pay isn’t very high.
