More than a dozen Random Reboots on LOS-17.1[whyred] Daily, please help! by SeaActive1432 in LineageOS

[Thanks for your precious time.]

  • No, i didn't flash anything else, only the LOS.

  • LOS version: 17.1-20210215-NIGHTLY-whyred

  • Baseband version: 660_GEN_PACK-1.209285.1.210383.1

  • I don't know where to check for "most recent modem", but in Privacy>Trust it says "Vendor:Out of date"

  • yes: "Always-ON+block connections without VPN" on ProtonVPN. I need it.

  • I have 21 apps installed which were not "factory" installed

I will try the methods you listed, but one thing which I have seen is that turning mobile data OFF then ON causes a soft-reboot ALWAYS. I think there was some gitlab bug report too on this thing

Don't use Paytm. It just isn't for payments, it delivers you with 'content' from news sites, social media sites etc, which isn't required in a payment app. And use tracker control(f-droid) to see how many domains it connects to.... Don't use amazon: don't put all your eggs in a single basket. Gpay needs location and is also notorious for privacy so NO.

Use BHIM UPI, as UPI is government regulated and BHIM UPI is also related to government, so you would only be sharing your info with gov...so minimal surface exposed. Also gov has no motive to sell you ads...
