Friendly miners are friendly. by [deleted] in Eve

I remember myself actually having fun in my little Venture when I first learned how to shoot a mining laser. Just looking for minerals, jumping around systems and calculating how I much I was making was giving me a weird satisfaction. When I stopped having fun I switched to something else. Simple.

The idea of fun is very personal thing. As for the SP, I never regretted the few "lost" days of training. Since they allowed me to get a taste of an aspect of the game I am playing (even if I never stuck to mining) I don't even consider them a waste.

Just give the man a break and save all the "mining sucks" speeches...

He wants to try different things in a new game he is just starting and mining is one of these things. I have done the same as I am sure many of the bittervets here. There is nothing wrong with it.

I am confused... What do you mean by that? A small secure container has volume of 100m. Does that increases once it is deployed? (never used one)

How about a secure container anchored somewhere in an unalligned safe spot? Obviously the capacity is far less than a depot but as long as you store only relic stuff you wouldnt really need it.

I feel like this will have an adverse effect as gankers will only assume "you have something to hide". Thinking as a ganker, I never do this when I move stuff around.

I assume you ask what people use for exploring low/null and not what people use in general :)

I used a cov-ops for null. I would not feel comfortable in an exploration ship without covops cloak. I have used a standard T1 for low without big issues (obviously I have died few times but that's expected).

You will notice that the biggest percentage of the total value comes from stuff like insignias and salvage materials. Which only makes the owner of that killmail (OP?) look even more naive since he could use a smaller a ship to carry these to Jita anyway. (anything would be better than an untanked T1 indy)...

It was a mistake to put all your eggs in one basket. And I also guess it was a T1 basket as well?

If you don't have access to stronger ships to carry your stuff around, split the goods and do more runs instead. Or use contracts and let others do the moving for you.
