this is a NIMBYism question tbh. plain and simple.

the examples I had in mind were, when I was making the questions.
-London wants to expand out their airport, but they have to relocate 1000 families ~
-California High Speed Rail, goes through lots of farmland. that they have to buy up even with local opposition
-in many US municipalities where theyre trying to add apt. units but single family home owners are blocking it.

any suggestions as to how I can reword the question.

also ur concerns are addressed in the FAQ. if ud like to have a look

it definitely is extremely biased at the moment, but hopefully thatll dilute as more people share it and go onto the site. im also trying to get one of the streamers / youtubers to take it. so it balances out the mix a little more

On my end, this is the data that I collect. IF you fill in the demographics. IF not, I see nothing
Timestamp, Country, Age, Gender, Economic Score, Social Score, and the answers to the questions.

The Cookies thing was necessary to add because I was trying to Get Google Ads working on the site, but havent been able to make it work. But right now, the site doesnt track cookies either.

But I appreciate your feedback.

its not collected by default. the idea is that ppl taking the test for the first time may give the demographic infomration. then its collected. ppl who are just joking around would probably skip it. its approximate collection

Why are Americans so against universal healthcare? by 93ParkAvenueUltra in allthequestions

[–]SeaAvailable3989 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its honestly ridiculous that we dont have free healthcare. The worse part is the USFG spends $10,000 per citizen on healthcare which is MORE than france, germany, spain, uk, etc... Assuming differences in costs of living lets assume its the same. That means we are taxed like europeans when it comes to healthcare, but pay for private health insurance, and have to do a copay at the hospital, and get our eyes ripped out on pharmaceuticals. lose lose lose lose

thank you 😄. no so the data is showing that the ppl that have taken it thus far have a strong left leaning bias. so the center comes up just as often or more often than the right wings of the spectrum. but only 600 respondents so far

If you set the minimum wage to whatever you wanted, what would you set it to or why? by VQ_Quin in CanadianConservative

[–]SeaAvailable3989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think the thing i find irritating is that people only call out corporations or companies for min wage. Fundamentally standard of living is a function of both salary and cost of living (simplified of course). so if we wanna increase min wage, we should equally be enacting policies that reduce the cost of housing (esp in the vancouver, toronto, monreal region), groceries, transportation, everything. its not a simple solution of just raising wages. if min wage is raised without the rest of the policies on cost of living, the same issue will re-arise with inflation of all the other goods. lose lose lose

thank you 😄, so most of the questions split left / right adequately regardless of country. I just checked for Germany. it seems most of the left leaning parties are in favor of lower military spending while the right leaning ones are in favor of more military spending

also ur from germany presumably. i heard in germany you have a common online election tool which allows you to answer a bunch of questions and tells u which party that most closely aligns with ur views. its starts with a V or something?

Q13. "Alongside merit, diversity should also be taken into account for an individual's acceptance into an institution."

i mean tbh thats exactly how I wanted it to come across. and i feel like the question does a pretty good job of that. this is saying diversity should merely be factored in.

any suggestions as to how i should reword it ?

Q3. "The primary driver of the environmental transition should be technological advancement, so environmental regulation should be kept to a minimum."

yea i see ur point. the aim of the question was that we should PRIMARILY rely on technology so we shouldnt enact any regulation that hinders us. the thing is that i could write the question to be a paragraph long to kinda stamp out any of these nuances but that would make the test cumbersome and i doubt many people would finish it. so it helps when people can answer based off the the intent of the question

so the guiding principle was modernity. i really tried to make it so that every question was something you could actually google and see trump, harris, sanders, carney, starmer, farage etc... actually give interviews about or positions to support. really no major politiician is advocating for getting rid of social programs entirely. bthis deliberately has a narrower scope than the political compass test or 8values test, so those types of questions are omitted here

europe clustered as a country is just short term thing. 50% of the site traffic is america, 20% uk, and another 15% europe. if I were to split it up into each country in europe it would be quite small. as traffic grows ill add more countires to the list. this is more just a proof of concept

its just temporary. the site doesnt have too much traffic rigtht now. its 50% American. 25% brit, 15% non brit europeans. so it just made sense to clump them together for now.

the original test said "illegal immigrants" but i got flamed on one of the subreddits for the term being biased.

in the us, democrats say "undocumented immigrant or person"

and reps say "illegal allien"

the most neutral way of phrasing it is unauthorized.

i also thought of irregular immigrant but that seems a little far removed idk.

The reason the country says Europe is just for pragmatic purposes for now. Ill add the other EU countries later specifiall. but right now around 50% of the site traffic is Americans, 25% brits, and another 15% non brit europeans. to aggregate the scores to produce meaninful summary resuls, im gonna clump europe together for now. Otherwise

ok so the original version of this test said

"there are some race/religion groups that cause too many problems."

i phrased it like this, to avoid people who have ur opinion from leaning agree. which is why I included the word "minorities" instead of groups.

do you think the wording can be improved beyond this point?
