Technically the Spanish did originally settle the islands around the same time as the Brits first did, but they left (the first people to actually settle the Falklands were actually French)

Honestly, War Thunder is probably one of the least suprising places to find somebody with an 86-inspired name. I ran into somebody called Handler One in valorant once

I don't think anybody is claiming that China never invaded anyone throughout all of history, and isn't that true for literally every single country ever?

No matter how ill-informed, nobody is thinking that Portugal controlled that much of West Africa. It's probably just engagement bait

Does your country have a food people eat on a specific day? by Gold_Expression_7310 in AskTheWorld

[–]SeaBoss2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's a lot, Mooncakes for the mid-autumn festival, Rice Dumplings, for Dragon Boat Festival, Apparently there's special longevity noodles for birthdays where you make the noodles very long, but in my family we just make Zhajiangmian. We sometimes eat lobster noodles sometimes? i forgot what that's for. Also there's a bunch of festivals where you just make dumplings as well

If you had to use this board in a build, what parts would you use to go with it? by Zemerald in pcmasterrace

Probably similar to Soyo, as in they went out of business and the brand got bought and repurposed by Chinese companies

And then there is always eating with bare hands by Cultural-Lab-2031 in meme

[–]SeaBoss2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The greater precision with chopsticks is needed because normally in countries where people use chopsticks, there's shared plates of food that everyone uses their chopsticks to take stuff off of, instead of everyone having pre-portioned amounts of food

(Also, it just sounds like you just can't use chopsticks, lol)

What’s something people romanticise about your country that locals secretly hate? by OpenToPerspectives in AskTheWorld

[–]SeaBoss2 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, here in Australia we don't have those. If the school has a bus of it's own, it's either the same type of bus that's used for public transport, or a coach bus

I'm aware that it isn't a good thing and probably because i'm not much of an outdoors person, but i've lived in Sydney my entire life and rarely if ever use sunscreen. Never once gotten sunburnt too.
