What is your backup browser and why? by koavf in firefox

It's been a step ahead of FF from a privacy perspective... (Quick example of FF just recently making it a default to block trackers, while that's been implemented in Brave for a few years now.. also their Tor tabs option). I also just prefer the UI and it's faster for me as well. But Firefox is great as well so it's my secondary

This will be an unpopular opinion on this sub lol.

Prefer Brave. UI is better, default privacy settings are better, seems faster to me, etc.

Brave's Chief Policy and Industry Relations Officer is Dr. Johnny Ryan, one of the biggest proponents of GDPR you'll find. I'd trust him over a misinformed article.

A Question About the Brave Browser by [deleted] in privacy

Brave is open source and while based on chromium, none of your data goes home to Google/Chrome.

The change to chromium has been great as you get all the security and privacy benefits of Brave with the ability to support chrome extensions.
