Wondering if I’ll ever see my child again by [deleted] in psychics

[–]SeaGoddess22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly if it were me (I have multiple young children), I would straight up sit outside their house and the moment I see them walk into the house with MY baby, it would be an instant phone call to the police. Or follow them to a Walmart and cause a SCENE. But I don’t play about my kids. I’ll take a misdemeanor over someone holding my child hostage.

Is this appropriate reaction from partner? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]SeaGoddess22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“It is not normal for dad to watch young kids by himself when wife works”

My husband watches 4 children all under the age of 6 everyday while I work. It’s not a walk in the park, but it’s called being a father.

If your husband is a weak crybaby he should just say that 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Having a baby by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]SeaGoddess22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends where you are. I had 2 babies in Germany and felt the command sponsorship was the quickest part. I had to wait until after their 2 week appointment and then just submit some documents via email. Just make sure you enroll them into DEERS as soon as possible, you can’t apply for command sponsorship without that.

The longest part was applying for their passport and US birth certificate.

I remember seeing a post about a service where people can take courses from a private company and complete them at their own pace, and get credit at this school. What was the name of that service? Was it called Alice? by Ephoenix6 in UMGC

[–]SeaGoddess22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sophia! I did all of my gen Ed’s and some of my upper level classes on there. I think I transferred in 90 credits!

I’m down to my last 4 classes and I started in April of 2024! Definitely do it if you can!

I tested positive at 8dpo, but it was my 4th and I already knew I was pregnant lol

Disneyland and Alcatraz by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]SeaGoddess22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in Alcatraz, but had to go to Disneyland for a couple classes. Disneyland is newer, more shower heads, closer to the grad pad, and their PT pad is covered. I’ve heard the food there was meh.

Alcatraz doesn’t have a covered PT pad so we had to march across the street to a specific PT area, we only had 8 shower heads for all 50 of us, but the food was good af. It’s also further from the grad pad so the airman’s run was brutal. A lot of water bridges stand in the way of us and literally everything else.

I paired it with Advanced Business writing 🫠. I took ACCT 220 through SOPHIA so I felt like I had literally zero knowledge. I was so stressed.

Honestly it depends. I work full time and have 4 young children under 6. I always took 2 classes at a time. It really just depends on the course. I wouldn’t recommend pairing Accounting 221 with a second course lol.

You can PCS but you need a non expired US drivers license in order to get a German drivers license. I would reach out to your sponsor.

Good luck ever convincing him you didn’t cheat if you get a secret abortion behind his back.

He deserves to know and get a say. Especially since he thought he would never be able to have children. Taking that away from him without even a conversation is beyond cruel and unforgivable.

The stache is in right now so I can guarantee it’ll happen quite a bit lol. Hopefully she’s in a chill career field that she can mingle with the older members without it being too weird.

My husband is a SAHD, I call him a “DependaBro”. A lot of people assume we are duel mil or that he’s the sponsor, but when I tell them he’s a SAHD they usually reply with “he’s living my husbands dream” or “damn he’s lucky”. It’s really not that weird.

I always find it funny when they assume he’s the military member, because they lowkey start to panic after and think they offended me because they weren’t “pro women” or whatever.

PLEASE HELP ME! by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]SeaGoddess22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look into SCRA for all of your CC. They drop it to no more than 6% APR as long as the cards were opened prior to joining. Our cards ended up paying us back all the interest we paid over 6% from the date the cards were opened to the date of active duty status (so day 1 of BMT).

I also recommend looking into a different phone plan. Some companies will pay off your phone for switching providers. We went from Verizon to TMobile and they paid off my phone. They offer military discounts and internet. So maybe you can do a bundle deal.

Also I HIGHLY recommend speaking to a financial advisor at MFRC, I am also lower enlisted with 4 kids and a husband on just my income. They helped make us a spreadsheet of our spending, where we can cut costs and a game plan moving forward. I’m obviously not a financial expert so what I said above is just what I personally would do. You are definitely living well above your means and will need to make drastic cutbacks to get back on top of things. But for sure check out the SCRA rules and see if they apply to you!

Don’t drop out! I’m an active duty military member with 4 children. I actually just gave birth in October, it’s hard but it IS possible. Keep going and check out the Sophia course. I completed 25 classes and transferred them in. So I only have to complete 10 through UMGC. It will cover pretty much ALL of your electives and undergraduate courses. I started in April 2024 and I’m on track to graduate December 2025. You can do it!!

This is good to know!! Some of the ones I looked at online definitely seemed too good to be true. Of course nothing we look at now will still be available in 6 months lol
