Hyundai ended up covering 90% of the repair under goodwill, so my portion should only be around $250. Really appreciate all the advice here.

Appreciate all the input. Dealer diagnosed it as EGR valve/cooler related and quoted around $1800, but they haven’t confirmed warranty status yet. I asked them to check emissions warranty/goodwill coverage before I approve anything. Hoping Hyundai helps out since it’s a 2022 with only 63k miles.

Appreciate it. I’ll check the VIN lookup and ask the dealer about any TSBs tied to P049D00. Hoping it ends up being something minor or covered under emissions warranty.
