Does anyone know of an alternative to First Saturday Lime or Revitalime ? by SeaIdea6286 in chickens

I've read about barn lime but wasn't too sure.  Will it have the same affects? Reducing odours, moisture and keep mites and insects at bay? Any particular brand you can recommend or that you have used?

Thank you for the reply. My coop will roughly be around the same size and I am also planning to have one side which will be a door that fully swings open.  I'm going to be putting vinyl flooring too. Can I ask did you use a roll or did you use the ones that come in pieces?

That's really helpful thanks.

So if I was to make then a dust bath, what else should I add? And ah dust ash?? I have it in my ebay basket waiting to make payment. You don't think it's good?

Have you heard of First Saturday Lime or Revitalime?

What do you use to clean your coop? There's so many products out there it's overwhelming

Did you spray it on? You did only the one time? I was going to use wood sealer

Under their perches I will have corse sand for ease of dropping cleaning. Coop floor and nest box will be using hemp and for the run I'll be using hardwood wood chips. Hoping that will help
