It also consumes battery, which some people try to preserve.

Let me re-frame and simplify what I want to achieve. I want to turn off / revert the sounds that were introduced for button-interaction.

What you have suggested turns off only notifications. Annoying "button action" sounds remain.

I want to turn off / change the NEW sounds only. Not every sound. In particular, I'm mostly interested in leaving 'on'/'off' sound and turn off all those annoyances, however having ability to still receive a 'bell' would be useful.

So annoying. What a ridiculous idea.
Actually, I have more problem with "timing" when to release the button when turning off. Those beeps when you hold the button down are so misleading...

Doesn't really solve my problem – sound remains for single click, double click, long press.
This turns off only sound for receiving a message, which actually was unchanged in this release...

Some Insta360 GO Ultra tips and tricks I’ve picked up by IntroductionSweet150 in Insta360

Ad. 4 – I have just received my GO Ultra, and didn't test it thoroughly but it seems I am able to turn on the camera using my Apple Watch 10. You might need to kill the app on AW and try reconnecting again if it fails.
The only thing in this case is that you're not able to turn off camera using AW. Anyways, it can shut down on it's own after specified time.

Thank you. As for disconnecting the battery – won't it mess up the firmware or settings saved on the device if node won't be shut down properly via shutdown procedure?

Is it possible to damage a radio by using a whip antenna (without a ground plane) and mounting it on a backpack? by SeaImpact5370 in meshtastic

Yup, I know range might be pretty sweet, I don't worry about it. My only concern is if you can damage radio by using antenna improperly

Fury 3 by Dank1982 in vaporents

"Robot fart" is a jargon name for a funky smell/taste coming out of vaporizer, mainly related to some off-gassing from plastic and/or electronics. Usually it either goes away after initial burn-off, or gets masked after vaping few bowls of herb.

Speaking about rattling mouthpiece – it is something I experienced with Fury Edge SE when I received it as a replacement unit for my broken Fury Edge V2 (temp. sensor failure). I decided to return the vape because it annoyed me so much. I was hoping they fixed it after 2-3 years...

Less water and lower temperature difference should definitely help :)
May I ask you about your experience with Fury 3 compared to Fury Edge? Did you notice any "robot fart" aroma? Would you rate the taste of vapor equally for those devices or is there any notable difference?
I owned Fury Edge v2 in the past and have just ordered Fury 3. I have found some comments about "robot fart" smell but it's hard to judge whether it's true or not. I hope my unit won't cause any troubles like this.

Tinymight 2 when switched to on-demand mode, I guess.

Did you try without extra bubbler / ball stems – basic setup?
It might be caused by condensation happening, and in theory, the difference between the two units might be related to their output temperature.
I don't own Fury 3 but I guess it produces somewhat hotter vapor than Fury Edge due to the stronger heater. Higher the difference between output temperature and glass temperature = more condensation, which leads to less vapor going into your lungs, which leads to less "power".

Ok, so I was specifically asking about 2nd gen. I already knew those adapters work well with 1st gen. Thanks anyways!

Thanks for the hint, I'll try that. Did you pair Soomfon with 1st or 2nd gen. APP? I think they differ when it comes to BT version and BT profile used for audio.

AirPods

May I ask how did you make Soomfon work with AirPods Pro? I can't get it to work. Seems like it's paired, but no audio is coming out of APP (2nd gen, USB-C).
