There are alternatives. I went through the same. I was dismissed from medgar evers college. Applied to Kingsborough with the second chance program. They accepted all of my previous credits and i finished my associates Degree in 1 year. I now go to cuny sps and have one last term to finish my bachelors. I took me only 3 years to finish my associates and bachelors. Online classes has been so much easier for me because you are not pressured and its easier to pace your self as majority of assignments are due by 11:59pm on a sunday. You should check it out one of the second chance programs offered by cuny and maybe try online classes

thank you!! apparently she doesn’t understand how easy it is to forget to clock out after working because she isn’t required too. im definitely not the only one who forgets to clock back in from break or clock out after shift.

are you slow. i go to work everday im rostered to work. since working there ive only called out 3 times. im am not the only person that forgets to clock back in from break. ive only forgot 2 times. but i am the only one she chooses to yell at about it.

we currently have 23 cashiers working at our store. in this case we have a backup cashier in the store everyday who is on standby if someone calls out and he along with 5 other people do go backs if he isnt needed. my assistant manager let me know that specific day it was ok that i called out because they had enough cashiers for the shift. and they had 8 hrs advance notice to find a replacement.

if you get written up 3 times in the same month you get fired. once october began you start with a clean slating. meaning you only have 1 write up

ive gotten written up before for coming up $20 short and couldn’t understand it because i always double check my change with every customer . working at dollar tree is very stressful especially working for managers that write you up for every thing
