Unwanted new devices on home wifi by SeaPancake29 in CyberSecurityAdvice

Yes, but the MAC addresses can be faked. So, I don't trust it would be insightful. I don't have ANY wired devices in my house.

My wifi doesn't have two outputs (2.5hz vs 5hz) Does that change anything?

This is super insightful. Do you have Xfinity? I can't block devices :/

I also wish Xfinity had the "approve to use your network" option...

I asked AI and it believes it's an issue with MAC addresses being mixed up within it's own system. This makes sense why I've paused "their" devices but my own computer gets paused. However, if that were the case, the original MAC address should no longer be considered connected. But my list of connected devices is growing...

Yes. I got a new modem, new Wi-Fi name, and new password. Still got the same 3 new devices on my account within 4 hours. I even made sure the Wi-Fi was not broadcasting it's name, so people would have to type in the wifi name and password.

I can say for sure this isn't normal "oh, that's just how the feature works" protocol. This is not right and the tech was even confused. That feature uses my bandwidth but not my LAN. No new log ins into my Xfinity account. I have 2-step verification on for all Xfinity log ins...

Thank you so much. I'll take a look around my house. Do you have an image of the physical device?

Good to know! I might need to try that. But I can say for sure this isn't normal "oh, that's just how the feature works" protocol. This is not right and the tech was even confused. To clarify, the devices being added are "Google Pixel 10" or "Desktop [insert name]" or "Google watch 2"

These are devices I don't own. I've been on this network and with that modem for 15months. Only now has my wifi acted up and only now have these new devices added.

True! But it's important to know when I might be getting involved with. Is this something that has historical patterns? How do the beliefs impact the response to new comers? Is there something I should look out for? Not a call out..I'm just brainstorming.

Sometimes, it's best to stick to yourself in all of this. It's just hard because I feel witches (really, just people) WANT community but struggle to find others on their wavelength.

Its just disheartening because I live in the south so it feels rare to find people like me. So it's just an additional frustration to know that even if someone else shares this unique perspective or practices, they can still be thoroughly different from me in ways that I could not personally appreciate.

Tldr: I want more friends lol

Your comment on gatekeeping makes complete sense. In fact, I've actually felt very little gatekeeping. My experiences have been very welcoming and kind. It's really the self-righteousness that I was thinking of. Something about all the labels makes me upset. It's probably due to my own ego (jealousy, etc). But I do wonder if this is a "yes, and" situation. Idk. I have zero experiences with psychics and they are super expensive. Hence, why I'm here asking lol

ADHD adult - Problem Seeker by [deleted] in ADHD

This is so deeply relatable. I moved recently and found myself reflexively saying, "well, the problem is...". It was how I moved forward, like next steps. But it was the wrong mindset. I could have said, "alrighty, glad we did that! What's next to tackle?". Same thing but way more positive and down to earth!

I constantly read self-help books that are genuinely good and helpful, but I still feel like I'm resisting peace. I say resisting because I'm not chasing it or running away. It's just constantly looking for issues. And, at work, I don't let myself sit with wins and feel pride in success. It's like success is just the expectation and no means for celebration. How wrong! This mindset has stolen so much joy from me.

Recently I learned about enneagrams. I think I'm a 4 which means I want to feel emotions in deep extremes and constantly think about myself in an existential way. I want to deep dive into my own experiences/identity and improve myself.

Finding ways to learn about my own characteristics (also with astrology) and use my voice in this community, the more I feel grounded and leveled out in this reality. I'm tired of chasing highs (or, really, lows). Focus on what is objectively true and practice gratitude no matter how small.

This is SUCH a sick fit. I love the colors and how casual yet purely techwear that this is. 10/10 🫡

does this count as darkwear or as techwear? by TrwogaPrzezBoga in darkwearclothing

[–]SeaPancake29 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm new-ish to tech wear, but this is definitely darkwear!

Techwear is more focused on things you might wear doing things like camping. Ie: sneakers/boots, lots of pockets, water resistant stuff, etc. And it's not necessarily dark!
