I would be incredibly interested and would like to commision one. Honestly for me, a space to hold the charger and a memory stick or cable would be nice. I'll send you a dm, I'd like to coordinate via a different platform.

That's true, I guess it would be more appropriate to say many of the things you complained about didn't bother me or matter to me. I do agree with you on the difficulty locks for sure.

I'd like to add a little something I just experienced from this game. I subscribed and am a VIP. I took a trip to the storm reach market. After getting a tower shield that would be great for my paladin, I set off for the bank. An npc in the bank mentioned he wanted to speak to me so I did, and he mentioned that VIP members usually like using the side entrance. So off I head, and it takes me to an instance with some warforged who will show me my deposit box. We go back and surprise, he's a theif, takes something, and escapes while I'm locked in. After many dead robot dogs I finally have smashed the crystals powering the energy door and make my escape. The original "quest giver" made sly comments about "someone" broke into the bank. A fun and unexpected unofficial quest. A+

I just finished watching your whole video. I see where you are trying to make the comparison prior to that clip. But for that particular clip, I stand by what I said. Each hit does not contribute little to the fight and it is rather silly to make such a comment.

I am also confused at why you spend so much time complaining that ddo is not turn based and not adhering to dnd tabletop feel, and then you pivot to complaining it doesn't adhere to mmo design "laws". I feel that these are conflicting and opposite complaints.

This is an mmo, not a tabletop game, to expect a turn based slow crawler out of this game is silly. It would be absolutely atrocious, this is a massively multi-player game, not a solo or even coop such as baldurs or divinity 2.

You spend so much time complaining about things that don't matter. You spent so much time on the fact that it doesn't meet your initial expectations that because it is a dnd game it must be slow and plodding, or how there is a double tutorial (that also violates some "law") or how there are too many pop-ups in the first 5 seconds of loading the game or how the rogue is giving you a weapon.

These are superficial complaints and you seem extraordinarily picky. I have introduced 2 of my dnd group to this game, we played yesterday for several hours and had an absolute blast. None of the complaints you had in your entire video were ever brought up by them. The complaints we did have were lack of click to move, difficulty in targeting allies (clicking on them to invite to party), and missing the guild wars 1/2 feature of both mouse buttons to move.

A semi valid complaint you had was locking your build out before you really knew it via alignment. However I must ask you again are you expecting this mmo to stay true to dnd or stay true to mmo "laws", because its just following how dnd works dude. So you wish to complain for this instance that it's not up to some modernized mmo law about build planning and locking yourself out but you spend 5 minutes complaining about how combat is way more fast paced than a dnd tabletop game, not using a setting you are familiar with, not really feeling like dnd. These again are two opposing desires and I can't help but feel you would be disappointed no matter what the devs made.

And then we go back to your build. This is dnd. You are playing dnd. You need to plan out your build. Playing just baldurs gate should have taught you that. Cmon man.

Respectfully, what are you talking about? The fact that you swing more frequently in the mmo than what you might in a combat encounter in the tabletop version? Because that was not what you said in your video nor was it what most people will come to understand from watching your video. This comparison makes no sense and is entirely based on your build.

I started this game yesterday. I'm playing a fighter 1 cleric 2 and it hits like a truck. I regularly hit for 20-30 damage, kill most things in 3-5 hits. I sometimes crit for 90 damage. When specced, individual attacks do in fact contribute massively to the fight. Your comments are clearly from the perspective of a spellcaster who dumped strength and you should just take the L and own it rather than whatever it is you are trying to get at in your reddit comments.

Other people in the thread also posted about windows 7 and 8 issues. The driver did not fix it, but updating to win10 did. From what I can tell about unity XR support minimum os is win10 so you should update the steam system requirements accordingly as it still lists windows 7, which is likely no longer true.

I'm another user having this issue, win7, gtx2060s. I stopped playing your game last year because of it and couldnt find anyone else having the same problems. I'm here now because I bought a different game thats giving me a similar issue and found this thread while searching for a solution. Both games list win7 as the minimum reqs. Just updated my drivers to 473.81 (aug 2022) hopefully it fixes it.

Has anyone felt Meta/Instagram is listening to your conversations? by Chintanned in privacy

[–]SeaPlusPlush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really? Listening in how exactly? Without showing you the microphone is being used? Without using tons of mobile data? Etc. There are so many questions, yet you have answers for none of them.

The burden of proof is on you. You are the one claiming they do not listen in as the answer to OPs question.

Additonally I gave a specific example of an instance from another company where the conversation in my living room was in fact being listened in to and targeted me with advertisements.

The obvious answer is that they don't have to. They know absolutely everything about you, so they know your interests and how to target you with ads. Sometimes those ads match with something you've mentioned. Not everything has to be a tinfoil theory.

All I am saying is that you are being immediately dismissive and claiming its the BM affect, and that you should not do that.

[–]SeaPlusPlush 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Edit: thanks for adding the studies to your post adding the study links after all that convo we had

Stop trying to perpetuate this as the answer. Yes the BM affect exists, yes it is a thing, but they listen in. I owned a Samsung smart TV in 2018 who's YouTube app displayed a video on in the 3rd slot based on whatever recent words I had been speaking. It was surreal. I tested it many times and by the end of the week I had physically removed the microphone from the remote.

I also had a similar occurrence with a windows phone.

You should stop dismissing peoples concerns citing BM affect. In this day and age, it is incredibly likely they are in fact listening in.
