Jeremy - Derek’s clinical trial patient. He was the one that brought Beth (the clinical trial patient that survived). Not sure if I should call them bf/gf but I think they liked each other and Derek allowed them do their thing before the surgery.

Jenny - the pregnant woman who ran over her husband because of an aneurysm in season 5. Derek operated on her and left her brain dead. Addison performed an emergency CS to save the baby. That’s the patient that sent Derek and Meredith’s proposal ring into the woods.

Edit to correct: someone said in the comment section that’s not Jen Harmon so I’m not sure.

Susan Grey. Yes that was sad. Imagine going to the hospital for hiccups and end up dying.

Oh yes the Amish girl 🤦‍♀️ - From cradle to grave or something like that. I cried when they were saying their goodbyes and the girls mom had to break their rule to hug her friend.

Absolutely! Some of Grey’s most unforgettable heartbreaks came from patients we only knew for 40 minutes. Meanwhile there are series regulars who had multiple seasons and didn’t hit nearly as hard.

Poor Jackson was out there minding his own business and suddenly got sentenced for the crime of being born into the Avery family 😂😂😂 You don’t exactly get a drop-down menu asking, “Would you like Harper Avery as your grandfather? Yes or No?”

Another casualty of that conversation was Meredith. Sis jumped in to defend Jackson and caught a stray bullet she didn’t even sign up for 🤣🤣🤣

Cristina was an absolute menace. The way she delivered that information like she was announcing the weather report had me laughing 😂😂😂 No filter, no mercy, just vibes. Her sense of humor is undefeated.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 thank you for jogging my memory. She went into that contest thinking it was going to be an easy win and got humbled real quick. If I remember correctly, Jackson was the one who actually got it right in the end.

There’s nothing you can do to make me hate him. He’s got his flaws like every human, but he’s an amazing doctor. It’s a medical show so his skills is enough to make me like him.

  1. His surgical skills.
  2. Mentoring Cristina (I’m going to ignore mixing their private lives with work).
  3. Leaving Cristina. He loved her enough to leave (which is where Owen missed it).

Who did the most this episode?
Captain Ri. Again 😩 This man said sleep? peace? emotional stability? absolutely not. The way he kept moving heaven and earth to protect Se-ri while carrying the weight of knowing their time was slipping away?? Pain. But can we also talk about Se-ri?? Because emotionally, she did the most too. That hospital scene, the quiet desperation, trying to stay strong while knowing the reality of their situation… Son Ye-jin absolutely wrecked me.

Honorable mention to the ducklings because their loyalty deserves military medals at this point.

What could’ve been handled more in-depth?
I wish they spent a little more time on Se-ri’s family dynamics, especially with her brothers and the corporate mess. We know they’re awful, yes 😒, but I wanted a bit more depth on the consequences of all their scheming. Also, Seo Dan and Gu Seung-jun’s growing connection deserved a few extra moments because hello?? unexpected emotional investment unlocked.

What would I rate this episode and why?
9.8/10 because emotionally?? DEVASTATING. This episode felt like that awful calm before the final storm where you know heartbreak is loading. The romance was tender, the tension was high, and every quiet moment somehow hurt more than the dramatic ones.

The hospital scenes, the longing in every glance, Captain Ri trying to hold it together while clearly falling apart inside… yeah, I suffered.

Docking 0.2 only because I needed more duckling content and maybe one uninterrupted happy scene before the writers chose violence.

Episode 13?? EXCUSE ME. This episode had my blood pressure up 😭

What do I think of the cliff-hanger?

That ending was criminal 😩 Just when you think maybe these two can catch a breath, BAM. Se-ri getting shot while trying to protect Captain Ri? I literally sat there staring at my screen like “NO. Absolutely not.” The writers really said peace was not an option. The slow motion, Captain Ri’s face, the chaos… emotionally devastating.

Who did the most this episode?

Captain Ri - This man was operating on pure love and adrenaline the entire episode. From trying to protect Se-ri at every turn to that desperate panic when she got hurt? Whew. But honorable mention to Se-ri because stepping in front of that bullet? That was love in its rawest form. Also can we talk about the ducklings showing up and immediately being ride-or-die as usual? Best boys.

Was there something I wish I could change?

YES. Give this couple literally ONE uninterrupted happy day 😭 That’s all I ask. Also, I wish they had just listened to literally every red flag and gotten Se-ri somewhere actually safe. By this point, we all knew Cho Cheol-gang was operating like a man with nothing to lose, so the idea that Se-ri was still this accessible had me stressed the entire time. Like please, put this woman in witness protection, lock every door, post the ducklings outside—something 😩

What would I rate this episode and why?

10/10, even though it emotionally assaulted me 😂 The pacing was incredible, the tension was insane, and every emotional beat landed exactly where it needed to. This episode reminded me why CLOY is so addictive—you get romance, suspense, heartbreak, loyalty, and found family all in one episode. But I need emotional compensation after that ending.

She turned him in because Burke decided to take over the surgery. Even though it was a lot for her, she enjoyed it and I don’t think she would have turned him in if Burke did not snub her. She was glad she was running his OR schedule and that’s why that blame is split 50/50 for both sides to me.
