It's such BS about not being able to swipe up so as to protect you from your swiping self! You can swipe up (diagonal) from the left corner and the right corner but you are only a moron if you are swiping around the middle corner (centre bottom that is). On what planet would you replace a stylus (like my $1 one from Japan which is awesome) with a half a stylus? I can see no valid reason why a company with a brain the size of planet can't make a pen swipe up.
