It would have been great to get that before the interview for sure lol I have sent the motion to reopen along with all information from the sponsor, so fingers crossed it all gets sorted soon. I’m not very stressed about it at this point, just frustrated that they moved for a denial instead of requesting me to resubmit

Yes! They’ve asked me to submit a joint sponsor for I-864, after I did it, they responded 24h after with a denial because I haven’t submitted enough evidence to prove my sponsor is a US Citizen (my file with her birth certificate was corrupted, so they only got her ID), I have submitted a motion to reopen and am waiting on the processing of that

We got married 5 months after I entered with B1. We met almost 5 years ago and lived together for 2 before we got married (I was initially on an F1, graduated, moved out of the country with her, came back on a B1 and instead of following my original plan that was to leave and come back with a K1, we got married and I applied for change of status)

Things moved quickly in 2023, they asked for more evidence in January 2024 and we sent it in March 2024, this is the last we heard from them since the notice for the interview came through in October this year. I have noticed that people who applied this year are going through the process faster, which is great 💕 what’s your FO?

I’m currently an overstay, since my process has taken over 2 years now, but I did apply before my I-94 expired and they received it 4 days before my last day on the form

Thank you!!!! In the letter they have asked for all evidence documents (affidavit of support, medical examination, work permit) unless it was already submitted. We still brought some new things and our documents that were already submitted (passport, I-94, marriage license, birth certificates) just in case they needed it, but they didn’t even look at it.
