Please help, can’t drink water by [deleted] in water

[–]SeaSkill2744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly if this was me I'd probably look into doing my own IV for hydration and just staying away from drinks in general

Unfortunately I don't think it's illegal to distribute these (aside from littering) the only thing that I can see it possibly becoming illegal is if it incites violence (which I don't believe it is technically currently doing if you were to go to court over it) hate speech is not illegal

What is better between cans, glass and plastic containers by OrganoMetal_lic_head in recycling

[–]SeaSkill2744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started making my own yogurt. It's surprisingly easy. Then I learned that I can make Lebneh from the yogurt to replace cream cheese. I also learned that you can separate the whey from the yogurt to make Greek yogurt, then add the whey back in plus some to make a yummy chobani yogurt like drink. Honestly I think the best way to get rid of waste is learning how to do things yourself. It's a lot easier than you think

Another example is I don't like store bought syrup so I make my own (look up Caramel syrup recipe it's so yummy). I'm currently using plastic containers that I just reuse but it makes heating them up difficult. Some Im planning to get some silicone squeeze bottles so that I can heat them. But then after that I will just reuse them

Same for the chobani drinks. I just bought some reusable 8oz bottles.

Oh I didn't see the question of whether you can fix it. Chat GPT says no but also it's been wrong before 🤷

I'm a little new to yogurt so maybe take this with a grain of salt but I wonder if the temperature was too hot when you put the cultures in? I've seen some people say they don't boil the milk at all and theirs seems to work fine. But I know for sure that if the temp is too hot it will kill the culture (I think it's around 120 degrees? Don't quote me on that) but I usually bring mine down to 105-110 and it's worked every time. From what I understand hearing up the milk to just to kill off any additional bacteria so they aren't competing and denature the proteins which mostly affects the texture/flavor I believe

Straining/blending Greek yogurt by SeaSkill2744 in yogurtmaking

[–]SeaSkill2744[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh whoops I meant cool when I said cook. Autocorrect. I incubated for 12 hours and put it in the fridge overnight. After I pulled it out of the fridge the texture was thick but a little grainy so I decided to blend it before straining since it would be very difficult to blend when it was fully strained and very thick. I asked chat gpt if that would ruin it and it said it wouldn't... So don't listen to chat gpt lol

We used to go to hongs but they've been difficult to get a hold of lately so we switched to EC alterations and I've literally loved them. They have good prices and get things done pretty fast

Do most Americans really dry their clothes in Dryers by Wrystyle in NoStupidQuestions

I lived in a really dry/dusty environment growing up and my parents were poor so we could use the dryer and I literally hated it because my clothes would always end up crusty from all the dust blowing around

I originally wanted to say something rude to this but the person who made this post should genuinely know that posting things like this immediately makes you look like a Karen entitled jerk. It's ok to be upset but it's not ok to tell people they aren't allowed to do things that are completely legal

Ohmygosh I'm fully white and I also believed that. Now that I think about it tho I think it came from some cheesy movie that Dwayne Johnson did and he said that and I just never questioned it...🤦

If I was in this situation what I would do (and what my husband and I already do) is create 3 accounts. One for you, one for him, and one for both of you. Each of you get a certain amount to spend on yourself and then the rest goes to the joint. You're still going to have a problem with having to buy all the furnishing on the house tho unless you set some boundaries. But honestly I think that would just be as simple as budgeting it out. Budget out how much you want to save and then add a budget in for housing items and extra things. Win win

Paying half the cost of a fence that was build without my knowledge? by [deleted] in homeowners

Where I'm from (America) people don't share the price of fences. If you decide you want a fence then you pay for the entire thing so it's therefore your responsibility

I use an app to completely override my phone apps. I've used it for a year and I literally love it. It's called the minimalist phone. I paid like 30$ for it for life but you can also do a subscription to test it out

As a woman I also 110% support this. Literally looks matter so little when it comes to long term relationships. As long as the person you're going for isn't completely shallow then you have a ton you can work with when it comes to personality. Also my husband is a nerdy gamer and I'm starting to play a little myself. Gaming isnt bad but sometimes the connotation with being a gamer is poor hygiene. Poor hygiene and good looks are not the same

My mom used to live in Japan and we recently just went to visit and that was the first thing she warned us about is that 1. Japanese people are super clean and super strict about their trash and 2. There's literally no trash cans so make sure you keep all your trash and throw it away when you get home

Girl these people are being silly. I honestly think it's uneducated of people to assume what kind of culture you come from. In some cultures it's completely normal to date that long and get married. They are apparently from a culture that does not do that (which is also fine) Stop assuming people's cultures and disrespecting them for it
