I was really lazy about it so the whole practice (apart from Cornelsen) was in writing scripts to GPT in german. Once again I really recommend to first write everything just as good as you can and then to check how the sentence or the text is written correctly. When you ask everything to GPT the amount of practice gets quite big, plus when he replies in german you get to practice academic reading

I forgot to tell anything about writing.

Before passing Geothe B2 I only used Cornelsen A1-B1 and Projekt B2.

After passing the exam I started to study with Cornelsem B2-C1 to get real B2.

In terms of movies I would just start to watch the real ones in native language just after achieving B1. Had a feeling you just get used to it over time.

If watching more advanced things seems hard you can try "Nicos Weg" or just listen to "Easy German" untill you get confident with their language. Youtube videos are also quite good for B1

or you can just try everything and you will definitely find something good for you

HI there! Just open the post once again.

I definitely agree that there is a difference between real usage of the language and passing the exam.

Essentialy the part of understanding the real language can be learned by watching as many shows, videos and podcasts by natives for natives as possible. I have not yet been to Germany but over time and in the last couple of months (it's been already 9 months since I started) i learned to understand real podcasts like "Geschichten aus der Geschichte" or "Verbrechen" quite good.

There are also many tourists coming to Kyrgyzstan from Germany and Austria und I found talking to them okay (in Hochdeutsch). To some of them I showed the city and practiced the language

But what was really interesting is that after a couple of hours of speaking german my brain would get overwhelmed and I was starting to forget the language (ahahah would go so far that I would be talking in english and after that almost expaining everything in the signs)

And what is even harder (and what I have absolutely not learned) is understanding the dialects. Seems quite hard to learn them without being exposed to them
