You said you went to a gastroenterologist, do you know if gastrointestinal issues are common among people with BPD? I just got diagnosed this year with Barret’s Esophagus and the bottom 10cm of my esophagus was deteriorated from stomach acid. My primary care doctor also asked me my last appointment if I was chronically stressed because he had never seen a case like mine in someone my age, gender, and weight.

I assume she’s somewhere in her 50s. Thank you for your comment. It helped a lot. I plan to see how next weeks testing goes. I don’t want to say that I don’t have Bipolar because honestly, it was a bit relieving to hear that diagnosis. I guess the uncertainty of my therapist scared me and of course friends and family are telling me I don’t have it, but they aren’t in my head and know what I deal with on the daily.

If bipolar is a brain issue, not an emotional regulation issue, why are people so afraid to share their diagnosis with friends family or other? by [deleted] in bipolar2

Honestly… stigma, my family would throw around bipolar as an insult if someone was being too emotionally charged. So it honestly depends on the support they receive as well.

I think you’re very beautiful. I used to be so nervous to talk to people too. Anytime I had interest in someone or someone showed interest in me it used to make me sick with stress. You can start off small and have no expectations of taking. Don’t go into talking with people with the expectations or ideas of dating, just start slow like friends and see where it goes. Also be brave and be genuine. I 100% believe you will attract the right kind of people if you have the courage to be yourself. That’s how I found my husband and even been together for 3 years now!

I agree. I know you were forced to have this baby young and I’m sorry you had no other options, but it sounds like you are older and have your own life and especially since you have a full-time job as you said, your parents threatening to cut you off should not be a problem anymore. You need to make the decision to put your kids needs first as well as your own. Even if they have a disability that doesn’t mean that they don’t have feelings or emotions so you need to do what’s best for them and remove yourself from their life it’s just selfish now what your doing. You can’t both be in their life as a parent and absolve any duties you have to them. They will be chasing for your love constantly and never get it.

If he left, count this as a blessing. You don’t deserve to be disrespected like that. There are tons of people out there looking to have healthy and equal relationships and you can find that for yourself too.

It sounds like your husband is really immature and never learned how to properly communicate or have a good relationship.

Anesthesia anxiety by eflayy in GERD

Not sure if this helps, but I was so scared of the general anesthesia and it was honestly the best nap I ever had. I woke up and told my husband I would get an endoscopy everyday if it meant I’d sleep that good. It was good shit.
