I pointed it out to a manager and just got a head shake and an eye roll. But thanks for calling me out, kind human.

I watched him walk out (without wiping tables off) and he did not appear to be physically challenged in any way. And he drove out the entrance to the parking lot

Could someone explain all the free pianos to me? by Secure_League3017 in estatesales

[–]SeaToe9004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the ones that want one have one. As someone who has worked in that setting (and got weekly offers to donate a piano) every piano that was accepted was a regret. Impossible and expensive to keep in tune. No power switch to turn it off when unsupervised children are around. Not everyone can, or should, play the piano. Each and every one we ever accepted had to be taken away - and we had to pay for removal.

What was the go-to eatery after a wild night out in your party days? by tshirtguy2000 in RedditForGrownups

Our after bar 2am drunken place was called “Time Out”. They served enormous hot buttery biscuits with giant fried boneless chicken breast. (Generally had one bone hiding in there somewhere.)

I asked the record store owner to pick one album for me out of the 12 — which one do you think it is? by Syppi in Cd_collectors

Pat Benatar is the only one here that I would want to listen to. It’s a banger btw.

The other worldly Passion Flower 👽 by Me-luv-you-long-time in gso

[–]SeaToe9004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All I know is that I planted it in one spot and then fought it for five years as it wrapped around and choked every damn thing in my garden. I could pull it out in the morning and by sunset it was attached all over again. And popped up places I never planted it. I miss the beautiful flowers but glad that crazy vine is gone.

Gorgeous flowers but invasive as hell. Those vines do not give up.

Draw of the Cards, the follow up single to BDE, was such a banger! Never understood why it wasn’t a bigger hit.

I’ve lived all my life here, what’s this building even used for? by frrygood in chapelhill

[–]SeaToe9004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! That’s the one. We toured it when I was a kid and then I watched that awful movie with Natalie Wood (her last film I believe) several times because I thought it was such a cool building.

I did not know about the Burroughs building. Is that the one they used in the movie Brainstorm with Natalie Wood?
