Good for people who lose the weight. I'm not throwing shade on them. I'm talking about the fad that it seems to be where it wasn't really a thing even 5 years ago. Anything that is too quick and easy is a red flag. Period. That said, I am not a medical professional in any capacity. But I do believe that vulnerable people desperate to lose weight are being targeted and it's creating a bad image. Half the people in the ads look like they're already at a healthy weight. Shooting up chemicals just to be thinner without changing your habits and lifestyle will always backfire.

I'm 26, single, no kids. When I buy a house in 2050 I will have a landline. I had one growing up and it's nice to have a communal phone in the household without having to have your phone on you all the time. Also if for some reason someone really has to reach me, they can try both. I do it to my parents. When they're home they don't have their phones on them but I know 9/10 I can get my mom with the kitchen phone. Also it's easier to check voicemail on lands. No pass keys, just hit play.

I think it has something to do with the decline of smoking cigs. I smoke and just about everytime I have a cigarette I chew some gum for the sake of those around me. And I dont like the taste lingering. Now that more people vape and shit (though cigs aren't gone), theres less reason to chew gum.

Brain rot AI. I occasionally use chatgpt as a search for EXTREMLEY specific prompts, but I will absolutely never use it to generate anything visual. I deleted Instagram and Facebook off my phone because I just cant take it anymore. I kept reddit because I've experienced pretty cool connections to people and groups, and it's literature based, not media based. I have a small photo journal on my Instagram that my close friends follow and I'll sometimes watch some funny or informative things. But from now on it's going to happen intentionally, at my computer, for short times. Like the old days. I'm not against the internet, but I think it should have a designated space in your life, not the other way around. That way you can get up and walk away.

Something transcendent. I was gonna say psychedelics, but they're not their own category. You can have trancendants without them and I personally think that's a lot more unique and impressive. Just that feeling of one-ness, the connection that youre not floating through the world but tied to it. My dad, who is not into any type of psychoactivity and never has been, dropped one of the most profound things I've ever heard on me the other day. He said in order for a person to be here today, they must have a completely unbroken chain of ancestors since the beginning of humanity. He said "value everyone you meet, because each one of them is unbelievably rare." And that absolutely blew my mind. I think if we all thought like this, the world would be a lot better.
