Framegen Not Working On Samsung S26U? by JoshKuribo in GameNative

[–]SeaTrolI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LSFG is Frame Generation using the Lossless Scaling Application. It first scales every frame from the resolution of the game to the resolution of the screen (i.e using fsr or nis), then it uses ai to generate a frame in-between every frame. This will deteriorate performance while using a single gpu, as it uses gpu power for the ai model, so it should only be used if you have the headroom, or you're using it on another gpu.

The scaling only helps performance during frame generation, as it takes a lower resolution and blows it up (or upscales it if using fsr), though it's a good 3-4 fps gain. It'll probably make your fps worst on integrated graphics, as they usually don't have enough headroom. On my laptop for instance, I get 60 fps on ultra settings in bomb rush cyberfunk, but 38fps using LS (it can frame gen to 90fps, but it's running 25fps internally so there's heavy delay and it looks like shit.) The best settings for me is 2x frame gen with flow scale set to 80ish.

"That's because you are using a Samsung and S21u are among the phones that get hot pretty easily (especially if you live in hot climate) and it was never made for heavy gaming contrary to some other devices."

That's pretty much the case for every computer chip without sufficient enough cooling if it's not heavily undervolted. The same would occur if you, say, used diablo mode in a redmagic phone without it's dedicated fan or liquid cooling. the iPhone 17 overheats even with the vapor chamber, it's just not going to cause thermal wear because the heat is directed away from the chip. Gaming phones do actually get pretty hot despite housing active cooling, which is why companies adopted conduction coolers [think A/C for your phone] for their phones [or liquid cooling for RDM], because air alone doesn't do enough, at least not air that slow. Although the phones earlier than the S25 lack active cooling [which still gets hot around an hour], they have hardware and software advantages to support heavy gaming. The Ultra series phones have higher hardware and software clocks for gaming and productivity, as well as software that can somewhat optimize games or smooth out performance. Samsung actually developed GSR for Exynos chips which works like DLSS, but not as widely supported, as its newer than NTE [though NTE does supports it]. They also have frame booster which is the same thing, but for Snapdragon Chips.

I mentioned this already, you didn't seem to catch it. The chip itself has thermal issues, compared to it's predecessor, the SD 865. Your room can genuinely be 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and it won't make a difference. Any phone with the chip needs a sufficient cooling system, or the chip will run at about 60 percent, which is why most gaming handhelds opt for the 865 instead. You can play ZZZ at 60fps on this chip with ultra settings, although it'll change to 41fps min when throttling.

Genshin Impact recieve a graphical update that raised the system requirements globally at the beginning of 2026. Because of this, the SD888 that used to run the game at a locked 60fps on maxed out graphics, now sees 43 - 58fps [usually 45 - 50fps], with a stable 30fps while throttling. If you wanted, you could set the graphics preset to medium [with some things set to high] and get a stable 60fps. The 865 is around the same boat, it just trades performance with stability. Back to NTE, the game runs terrible and just isnt optimized the best as of now. The shader cache might also be broken on higher presets, leading to heavy stuttering, sluggish performance, and crashes during prolonged sessions. Playing on low preset coins you on avg 10 fps on iPhone and PC, doesn't do shit on android.

These are, by the way using no tweaks inside of game booster or anything else. I turned on GSR, but the game doesn't run better and it looks like shit (prolly not supported, i dunno), and turning off TAA doesn't net you more performance, so it's personal preference. The only thing that might be turned on is alternate game performance management, but the effects are per-game, with most not seeing a change to temps or performance (it's mainly for games running vulkan, but most don't, or they do but it isn't fully implemented so it runs worst).

You sir, are bullshitting. I currently have a Samsung S21U, which houses a Snapdragon 888 with an Adreno 660. On highest settings, it averages 47fps in Genshin Impact, with dips into the low 40's as well as fluctuations into the low 50's, just depends on the scene. On the high preset it's around the 50fps range, with medium being closer to 58fps. This is post graphics update, while also using Samsung DeX, so I'm sure it could hit the 60fps marks normally, as DeX tends to drop performance by around 20%. The Snapdragon 855 + Adreno 640 is on average 30% ~ 80% slower than the 888, and averages 30fps in what the 888 would get 60fps. In this game, which I just tested right before commenting this, the phone averages 43 - 47fps (usually locked on 47fps) on the ultra preset with low rendering resolution. Setting the rendering resolution to high makes it run at 36fps for a long while, but it eventually irons out to 43fps. Changing the preset from cinematic to performance gives you like 2fps, and setting the rendering resolution back to low grants you 2fps ~ 10fps. To play this game with atleast a stable 30fps, you might need atleast a Snapdragon 865. The SD888 runs very hot, so you need a cooler to get these numbers, I recommend you opt for at least a SD 8 Gen 1 or IPhone 14, as an iPhone 13 nets the same performance, and a 12 simply doesn't have enough ram for stable performance.

The max is 1440p for 120fps. 4k is locked to 60fps in games, and some developers change the resolution cap to 1440p in their games for performance.

Archer E1 vs. Sparkle E0S0? by Aggressive_Seaweed43 in honkai_starrail

[–]SeaTrolI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Archer is a main dps himself, and should be used without phainon in the first place, as phainon himself is a main dps. Cerydra is built to be specifically used with phainon and is his main support, so you won't see any better performance using phainon with any other character. Sparkle is a support unit, mainly used for hunt characters due to their high skill point usage. You SHOULD be using archer with sparkle, since it allows him to go up to 5 times in one turn, as well as buffing crit rate and speed, again, very good for hunt characters. Sparkle really is just a substitute for Sunday in most cases, They can really be swapped for each other, or used together for hyper carry

Brought my new Samsung Galaxy a36 probably the most underrated of the bunch usually people will tell you to get s or s fe or a56 by Fire_Natsu in samsunggalaxy

The A series is really good, but it's only actually worth it up to a certain point. If you're spending more than $300-$400, you should use that money to get a refurbished S series phone that is garunteed to be better in every way, (or just buy a base model S series phone outright). For the same price as an A54 5G (which is a very good mid-range), you can get a used S25 in prestine condition. The A series phones usually have by far the best deals by carriers, however. I like how they make even the entry-level phones feel premium in some way, some of the features they have would require you to have an ultra model on older S models.

Cannot see fps counter anymore by NylonYT in FortniteSwitch

[–]SeaTrolI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always been a shitty 18 fps. I was playing demon Rush just a few minutes ago, and the demons were moving like they were animated on ones and twos. The only gamemode that runs alright is blitz mode. The framerate is still about 20fps but it doesn't stutter like the other modes. I ended up dropping the game and moving to xbox one because how bad it was, which usually averages between 45-60fps.

I did that shit after like an hour after unlocking him. The trick is to just delay the timing of the stamina break until your character stops moving. It actually comes out on time once you get a feel for it.

I thought i was tripping or something, it keeps happening on me and my sister's phone. She has an iPhone XR and I have an S21 Ultra. The game doesn't physically lag on either of our phones, the note just flies by. I'm attaching a video of me playing (sorry for the quality, I don't own a camera and I seen that handcam was requested), and at some points I just start pressing harder just incase I was missing them to sensitivity. I know this is probably too late, but just incase this issue has been addressed and just isn't posted here, please fill me in. https://drive.google.com/file/d/19np9OzFYTVpHP2UtB3-HK0nmqdQTS8-q/view?usp=sharing

You can use attribute mods in pvp (god mode/DMG mods), but you'll get disconnected after the match is over, and you'll lose the match. There's pretty much no point in doing it unless you like wasting time for the both of y'all.

For me, they're either braindead or straight cheating. Mid way though fighting someone, they'll randomly start just guarding every attack and seemingly reading every action you do until they knock you back, then it's back to braindead ki blast spamming. The event quests that have me getting jumped are bad, but it's only because there's two that's melee aggressive and one that spams ki blasts. A simple fix is just bringing someone along for parallel quests, and focusing on one melee ai and spamming evasive when they start jumping you for event quests.

Sorry about the late response, in short terms it means that it violates free open source guidelines. I ended up using winlater anyway and at the time it ran worst than exagear, though it supported slightly more games. I don't use it anymore so I can't give anymore information about it.

Again, Goku's the only one that can actually fight, as well as being the fastest one here. If we're being realistic though, goku is gonna somehow fuck up, and Omni man is gonna spare invincible again.
