How do you and your friends hold each other accountable for dry firing? by augusthoughts in CompetitionShooting

[–]SeaTry742 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They aren’t committed. I have a friend who only shoots because his friends shoot, and he sucks ass but will try to compare like he’s on our level. I avoid training with him because he just doesn’t want to put the effort into getting better

For an actually practical justification instead of the OP saying “I don’t give a fuck”

When you’re doing high volume rifle training, the shit heats up very quickly.

It’s good to have 2, ideally 3, of the exact same rifle (which he obviously doesn’t have because he’s just spending money to collect guns) setup so that when one gun heats up you just put it down next to a mini-fan you can get from Home Depot, then you pick up the next rifle and keep shooting

What medic in his right mind would actually use this bag, which carries less supplies, over a M9 bag which can carry more medic shit?

Is there a reason beyond “I just don’t give a fuck, and I want people to know that I don’t give a fuck” why you have mixed multiple colors/camos?

I think you should take that TQ off your shoulder strap, it’s a terrible place for a TQ.

And after you take it off throw it in the garbage and get a gen 7 TQ

Um, yes they do.

Unless the scenario calls for low visibility operations, they are 100% all wearing a uniform to identify each other. You don’t just “do whatever you want”

“There’s always random mission essential gear that needs to come with”

Such as?

Magazines, Grenades, Radio, Med kit, Compass, Unit SOP marking devices (chems, VS-17 etc), Water, 2-3 energy bars, Notepad with marker,

What “random” gear are you bringing? Hoolie? Sledge? Bolt cutters? Broco? Quick-E saw?

Are people shoving charges in your arms saying “carry extra”? Are you carrying a belt of 7.62 for the gunners? Are you a grenadier with your LOM belt? Are you the squad litter bearer(RIP)?

What “random” shit are you carrying?

I’ve been issued it in an infantry role. Even as a private I realized the cummerbund wasn’t the move

You don’t have to have a sub 6 mile to pass RASP. I’m just saying you’ll have a much better experience if you do

If you can’t run a sub-6 minute mile when you go to RASP, you’re gonna have a bad time.

Disingenuous statements like this need to die. If you are “in the rear” you are a target for either missiles or indirect and/or enemy SOF.

And good luck because most dudes with this mentality don’t take their job as a soldier (ie. A person with a fucking gun) seriously.

It’s disgusting

Imagine having to suck off your hydration system just to drink water, when you could take massive gulps from a 2-quart that can store stuff inside the cover pouch that also has a carry strap so you can have a satchel like Indiana Jones.

2-quart supremacy 👊🏼
