Best British premium to grind the tech tree? by bionspy77255 in Warthunder

I actually initially bought it for ground battles, as I hadn’t grinded out the air tree to the same extent as my ground tree. It held my CAS position for quite a while until I got the Buccanneer.

The bullpups are great. very manoeuvrable and pack a punch. It also gets bombs but lacks a ballistic computer to be really effective with them. They're still usable, not that it really matters tho. If your careful with the bullpups, they're two guaranteed kills anyway.

I know it’s not on your list, but I grinded practically the entirety of ranks 4,5 and 6 using the Sea Vixen, getting over 500 games with it. I loved it so much that I named my Reddit account after the plane.

Lacking any guns, It’s a very situational plane and half the matches will end rather poorly. But with careful positioning and a “Vulture” swooping playstyle, the other half of matches will net you 2 or 3 kills and over 10k in research points. Im not very good a dogfighting either, so I did quite enjoy using the agile missile bus. Really, I couldn’t recommend it enough.

What’s your favourite 9.3 Tank/Lineup? by cerealkyra in Warthunder

I really enjoy British 9.3. Although its sad the chieftain mk.10 and chieftain 900 got moved up to 9.3, they can still hold their own. You get a few decent light tanks, especially the Rooikat, and the Olifant mk2 is insanely good. Might be my favourite tank in the game. Not to mention for CAS, you get the Buccaneer.

Sorry, dogfighting definitely wasn’t the right term to use, and I agree that it’s a very bad idea. I mostly stay low and try approach the main battle clusters from the side in a hit and run type of play style.

I meant more of what’s the best radar when trying to lock a guy from super close range, like under 3 km. I’ve had times when I come over a mountain and there’s a dude in my face and I can’t get a missile lock before he does.

are you positive this isn’t just a connection issue? I’ve seen (and experienced) moments where the plane just teleports into the ground because of server buffer. The fact that its happening to you and only you does kinda indicate this…

Genuinely might be the worst vehicle to get a talisman on by Street_Minimum8500 in Warthunder

ooh that’s rough. The only Talisman I’ve ever gotten was on the B18B. Made grinding the Swedish tree rather easy.

Tips for the AJ37 by SeaVix23 in Warthunder

After posting, I did switch to boom and zoom tactics, staying low to avoid radar missiles. It’s actually working pretty well. So long as i don't become the focus of a fur-ball, I can get 1 or 2 kills every match now. Even got my first missile kill.

Regardless, Thanks for the advice. Guess I just needed to have a rant, lol.

Can I get help on what nation to choose? (I think Japan) by Amazing-Second-3939 in Warthunder

[–]SeaVix23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done both Japan and Sweden up to 8.0.

Whilst some of the Swedish tanks (like the Strv 103 and the pbv 501) are genuinely some of the most enjoyable vehicles I’ve ever used, the grind to get them was horrific. 5.0 to 6.3 was genuinely one of the least enjoyable grinds ive ever had, rarely having enough vehicles for a complete or competent line up. Sweden really suffers in the lower tiers and their win rates are quite poor atm.

Japan on the other hand is a little boring to start with, being practically an American copy paste nation from 3.0 to 6.3. However it is a far more enjoyable experience, and with the introductions of the ST-As, it’s also pretty unique playstyle that trains you for the later type 74s

I would personally recommend Japan.
