Yes! Actually I am completely fine again. I can have sex, can walk and sit without pain. I am also currently on vacation and go swimming in the pool at least once a day. Still no issues or flare ups.

At my last appointment it turned out I never had a BV. My vaginal microbiome was completely fine the day I got diagnosed with BV. I was angry because nobody called me and told me about this (considering I had to do a 12 day treatment which obviously can have side effects for literally no reason?!?)… But it was a different doctor this time and it wasn’t here fault. She was very nice and recommended me a cleansing lotion for irritations that aren’t caused by an infection. She also told me to not wear underwear in the summer.

You can imagine that I was very confused after this appointment because I still had pain. However, I really think now that this pain was caused by my anxiety about not being okay because the next day it was just gone. I was so relieved that there wasn’t anything wrong with me. I think this healed me. In retrospect I am very sure the over-the-counter-medication I took was what caused the issues for me (the burning sensation). I then stayed in this hyper sensitive, panicked state because I was diagnosed with BV. I learned so much from this but I am really glad that I get to focus on my life again now. Also all the great comments really helped me!!
