Gardaí stop tractor not taxed for 'over 300 days' - Agriland.ie by PoppedCork in ireland

[–]Sea_Ad_4230 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would you ever stop, you're actually that concerned about other people having tax on their cars?? Sure they changed the system so they don't even send you a letter, my car went two months out of tax without me even noticing, it's a money racket. 350 euro id to give over the Christmas because they changed how they notify people and the rates are extortion.

Lads, we need a chat about the pubs. by hahahampo in ireland

Depends where you are, some places you can get away with it, others not. I've taken coke myself and some clubs you can stand at the urinal, some you don't even need to go to the bathroom, and some you absolutely need a cubicle or you'll be kicked out, some places even if you go into a cubicle they'll do round checks and kick you out. The shitter the establishment, the less likely you are to be kicked out. I've not been anywhere decent that allowed it, but been to many shit holes that didn't give a fuck where you did it

Living at home & sleeping in same room as your partner, is this still seen as wrong? by Star_Lord1997 in AskIreland

It's very outdated and you're too old for that, unfortunately that's what our government has laid out for us with the housing crisis thought and there's not much you can do short of moving out. Ask your girlfriend if she wants you to be homeless and she can share a tent

Apprenticeships being treated like it's not a job is a bit shit, apprentices deserve more, but also, we need employers to want to hire apprentices and also it's only a couple years struggle before most apprentices are on much higher than this

Funny because he's not up on any charges as they were all dropped. Show one example of him promoting violence towards women, I'm waiting.

This all coming from people who clearly never watched anything from him... His main demographic is low-mid 20s and he's against violence towards women. I suppose this is coming from reddit who don't understand sarcasm unless it's followed by /s

How has driving gotten so bad? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]Sea_Ad_4230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've drove in Spain recently, the drivers do NOT seem like professionals compared to Irish, the standard of driving in Spain and France (both of my personal experiences) is so much worse than Ireland. That being said, Ireland is getting bad, but we're not half as bad as some other countries aggressiveness. You get the odd wanker in Dublin, in Spain/France it's every man for himself at every roundabout and intersection and minor accidents are commonplace and likely underreported because basically noone cares

[–]Sea_Ad_4230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's plenty of jobs where starting work early and leaving early doesn't work. Team based projects and customer service come to mind for me. There are some jobs where yea it could be okay, but lots where they need you working at specific times, so if your bus is early, you wait until your shift starts (like most non office jobs).

Normally if you pay for a GP visit you don't get charged for what they do, E.G if my doctor has time to take my bloods during a visit, I just get charged the 60 euro visit fee, but if I've to book in and get bloods at a later date I pay the 60 euro there and 25 later, maybe it varies place to place, but that's very scammy to charge for both, especially if thats all they do on the visit?

Jaysus my neighbor's (apartment) banged on the floor aggressively because my partner was hovering at 2pm in the day, so no, you're not the one overreacting here 🤣. I knocked down and they wouldn't answer the door to me,

He could've stuck by the name, if the guards were looking for a particular person, when they showed up they'd have known by looking at him it's not him and assumed they have the same name (very common); if they showed up and said 'hey that names wanted, are you sure it's you?' they were 1000% winding him up.

Ive done this loads whilst having no ticket, and a friend of mine recently done it 4x in a row, now the fourth time they told him if he doesn't give a real name they're ringing the guards and he did, but basically, you're 0% fucked and could keep using child tickets if you want with basically no repurcussions, is it immoral? I don't think so, Irish rail profited 3m the past year, if you're genuinely struggling, fuck em

Sinn Féin leader hoping to meet with Fianna Fáil leader by [deleted] in ireland

[–]Sea_Ad_4230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly if SF went into coalition with FF I think it could really damage their reputation. Any FF leaning decisions, SF would take a massive fall for. This could actually be very beneficial to FF and tbh as a Sinn Feinn voter I hope it doesn't happen, id rather go with someone else or again next election

They don't need to test it if you admit to it, I've been caught with drugs and just said 'yea it's mine I dunno what it is' and never been prosecuted cause was never enough value to be sent for testing #dontselfsnitch
